R2T15: The Flycatcher sighs before moving up to the belltower, drawing his rapier in his free hand as he goes, moving past the bulk and standing next to the belltower.

R2T11: Janiven closes to the group and shoots upwards, hitting the belltower tiefling for 6 (though only Tia sees that he gets shot).

R2T10: Dusha, you are 60' from the belltower (45' from "the clump"). What do you do?

Belltower Thug on deck, Meijen in the hole ...

Dusha moves up to join the clump, shaking her hands free of her overlong sleeves and drawing her dagger.

He concentrates on his position, but nothing happens. He opens his eyes, realizing whatever he tried failed.

Kavina delays until someone decides where to go. She will then follow. She looks around for entrances.

Meijin looks for any enterances on this wall and moves to it if there is one, otherwise he continues along the wall.

R2T5: Meijin looks for any entrances on this wall. Finding none, he travels towards the front of the church itself and finds and entrance.

Radigan delays...

R3T23: Kavina follows Meijen around to the front of the church, and sees the entrance he found.

R3T20: Tia, what do you do?

Aldo on deck, Erasmus in the hole, Radigan delaying...

Tia closes any remaining distance between her and the belltower guard, and quickly strikes with her scythe to take him down. She then yells in Infernal towards the same direction as the guard had.

R3T20: Tia closes any remaining distance between her and the belltower guard, and quickly strikes with her scythe to take him down. Her scythe cuts through his left shoulder for 9. The man gets tossed like hay on a pitchfork out the belfry and lands on the ground several feet from where some of the Children are standing by the main church entrance. His body is unmoving. Tia then yells in Infernal towards the same direction as the guard had.

Of course, she is female with a voice quality completely unlike the tiefling male she just tossed off of the 40' tall belltower.

R3T17: Aldo, you are 15' from the tower, and 30' from where the entrance is that Meijen is at. What do you do?

Aldo rushes to the door. As he approaches, he motions to Meijin to wait. He wanted everyone present before they made their move.

R3T17: Aldo rushes to the door. As he approaches, he motions to Meijin to wait. He wanted everyone present before they made their move.

R3T16: Erasmus rushes up to the door to provide light.

R3T15: The Flycatcher moves to the edge of the door, giving it enough room to swing open.

R3T11: Janiven steps over and proves why her weapon - the elven azaer - is perfect for dispatching enemies as she performs a coup de grace on the tiefling woman.

R3T10: Dusha, you move up to the door with everyone else, yes?

Dusha joins the others at the door, still muttering about how poorly this had gone and how they were all undoubtedly walking into a trap.

Combat Ends ...

Everyone now collected about the front door, what is the plan? Rufus is to the side, ready to open the door, but what is the order of progression? What precautions are taken?

Rufus speaks in a whisper "Stay to one side of the door. Whoever's in front of it is definitely getting shot at. I'll open it, Meijin and Erasmus go right and find cover. We'll sneak in after and get in a flanking position. Give me a thumbs up or down for the plan and can someone check this door for traps?"

Erasmus nods to Rufus' plan.

Janiven answers, "I can, but I am covering the door." She is standing back a few feet with bow drawn and nocked.

Aldo shrugged. "I have many wonderful talents, but lockpicking isn't one of them."

"He said traps, Aldo," corrects Janiven. "Dusha, take a look."

While the others are busy at the bottom, Tia will reveal the lit coin out the side of the tower, just to keep up with the plan, before taking the time to examine the nearby area. Since her cover was blown already, she wanted to make sure there was no chance of enemies finding an escape or surprising the team.

Basically just perception and get the lay of the insides.

Creepy old belltower, the bell of which has the antler-headed hunter with a bow motif on it, defining it as an Erastilian bell (and church). Nothing of worth up or interest up here, and the stairs that go down to the landing and the church below.

Confident now that there is no secret entrance or anything of the sort up in the tower, Tia starts down the stairs to rejoin the others.

When she gets below, she finds an internal door, not an external one.

Outside, you saw the signal coin, which really is neither here nor there, but then it winked out. Nobody knows where Tia is, and anyone with Darkvision or Low-Light Vision no longer see her in the belfry.

Kavina gives Rufus an exaggerated sarcastic thumbs up and then shakes her head negative for the second question.

Aldo shrugs. "Six of one, half-dozen of the other."

Dusha rolls her eyes. "Oh, yes, have the beggar witch check for traps! Give me just a moment, dearies, I want to be ready in case I'm wrong. And if you expect me to walk in front of you, you have another thing coming."

Before approaching the door to check, Dusha will cast Mage Armor.

Dusha, when you look the door and knob over, you don't detect any traps.

Now what?

Tia sighs when she sees the door, and heads back up to the mid-level opening, climbing out and down the side of the tower slowly.

Dusha will have noticed that the door is locked.

Janiven, still covering and now that Tia has rejoined the group says, "Rufus, you're up. Tia, help him. Unlock, please."

Tia speaks up for a moment. "I can't say I've got a lot of experience with locks, so as good as I am with my hands, I don't know how much help I can be."

Being team-orieneted, Rufus lets Tia use some of his tools, and it just so happens that is what is needed for success .... the second time.

After about a minute, Rufus and Tia pop the lock.

So, Rufus was going to open the door from the side. Janiven is backed away with bow.

I need a CQB rush order, please.

As befits her soft and gentle personality, Dusha stays behind the men with the swords and armor - though not so far back that she can't contribute.
