R2T10: Kavina will advance as far as she can, keeping low and searching for a target to ninja. She moves past Aldo, through the doorway, past Tia and Dusha and stands in front of a doorway from which light comes through, and yet strangely does not enter! In the dim light beyond she sees five figures, easily picking out Erasmus holding the muted sunrod (the source of the light coming through the doorway's darkness effect). The closest enemy is a horned creature fighting what looks like Meijen. The closest enemy is a horned creature fighting what looks like Meijen. She reaches throws a shuriken out that hits BoE6 in the chest for 2.

R2T9: BoE6 drops his crossbow, takes out his light mace, and attacks Meijen, the surprisingly quick scoundrel striking the elf's chain shirt, but little more than that.

R2T4: Not able to get past the various fighters, Dusha instead steps up to the door next to Aldo, hoping to see through it and maybe make herself useful. She is able to pick out Flycatcher easily (because of size), Erasmus (holding the much-dimmed sunrod), and Meijen (with his elven curved sword). Then, there are two other figures in the dim light, and the farthest one back she barely sees a silhouette for.

End Round 2, Begin Round 3 ...

R3T21: The faux mummy tries to defensively cast a spell, but it fizzles.

R3T16: Erasmus calls out, "Hey, this fake mummy? It's an amber tiefling, a construct, but a smart one. Don't use anything that interrupts bodily processes or attacks a mind against it, and expect it to be tough. Don't know how, but it is as devious as the tiefling it was based on or otherwise made to be."

Erasmus goes low to jam his starknife into the left foot of BoE6, pushing into the shin, and then wrapping back around to the calf and tearing upwards for 12, lifting him clear off the ground, and dropping him on his back, unmoving... the last of the three tiefling crossbowmen, but not including the faux mummy amber tiefling. Erasmus steps north.

R3T14: Meijen moves up, but from the side so as to leave a clear line-of-fire for an allied shooter or for someone to close. He attacks the amber tiefling but misses.

R3T20: Aldo, what do you do?

Aldo sneaks past his peers and into the room as stealthfully as he can. Minimizing himself as a target was key in getting the drop on someone, after all.

R3T20: Aldo sneaks past his peers and into the room as stealthfully as he can. Minimizing himself as a target was key in getting the drop on someone, after all. He passes by Dusha and Kavina, with the light emanating out of darkness, noting the strangeness before heading through the doorway into the dim lighting, sidestepping Flycatcher. 15' away, he sees the outline of this "amber tiefling" fighting Erasmus and Meijen, and plenty of bodies on the floor.

R3T13: Flycatcher, you are standing just inside the darkened area, but it is little to you. It takes 10' to get to the amber tiefling. The line of bodies on the floor isn't enough to make "true" difficult terrain, but is enough to break a charge. What do you do?

R3T13: The Flycatcher picks his way past the downed Bastards and stabs at the false mummy with a yell. He stabs cleanly into the left elbow of the linen-wrapped amber tiefling, losing some of the power as it cracks past the surface to do 9 mod. The strange consistency almost threatens to hold his weapon stuck, but using a piercing weapon in a small area of the body helped Flycatcher to withdraw it easily enough.

R3T12: The room is too cramped to get much movement, and Tia lacks ranged techniques to help from the back, so she delays ...

R3T10: Kavina, what do you do? It's a mess in there, and you barely have a bead on the faux mummy in the dim light.

She takes a moment to listen and, if she doesn't hear anything over the din of combat, opens it. But when she does so, she sees a four-footed skeletal creature that bites her in the boob for 3. She thinks see sees another of these around the corner as well.

R4T16: Erasmus continues his intel report. "It seems like a base tiefling, so assume it is resistant to cold, electricity, and fire; the mummy thing is a trick, trying to get you to use fire, probably." He stabs it with his starknife for 5 mod.

R4T14: With his accruing wounds, Meijen fights more carefully, and yet lands a telling blow for 12 mod.

R4T13.5: Aldo, you hope you are maintaining stealth against the amber tiefling, but you are not sure. What do you do?

Aldo steps out of the shadows; he decided that it'd be better to trust in his ability to distract rather than to hide. He began to run out, but quickly doubled back and threw a mind dagger, his erratic movements should be enough to lower its guard.

R4T13.5: Aldo steps out of the shadows; he decided that it'd be better to trust in his ability to distract rather than to hide. He began to run out, but quickly doubled back, and then out again, his erratic movements should be enough to lower its guard. He briefly concentrates on one of his mindblades, and a cloud of swirling, buzzing insects like hundreds or even thousands of gnats surround Aldo and the mindblade, which when he throws it, streaks with the mindblade toward his target, but it goes high as Aldo was sure to avoid his two friends in the way, and the combat alone made aim confusing. As soon as the mindblade impacts and dissipates on the lintel above the faux mummy, the strange cloud of gnats likewise slam into the lintel and dissipate.

R4T13: The Flycatcher stabs out again, trying to skewer the amber tiefling. He has to really force his power behind the blade to get through the amber-hardened exterior, but once past strikes into the heart of the thing. It falls down to the ground, unmoving, and Flycatcher had to really wrench his rapier away so as not to get stuck.

R4T12: Tia, you were delaying, but there is a change in the condition of the battle. While things are happening in the room to the north (which you can't see), you did see Dusha open a door and get bitten by a bony quadruped. What do you do?

Tia watches Dusha, and the creature attacking her, and readies herself to lunge in, calling out to Dusha. "If you clear a space Dusha, I can come in and take care of that."

If or when Dusha moves, Tia will lunge in and attempt to bisect it with her Scythe.

R4T3.9: Pretty much at the same time, Tia moves in to take the spot Dusha was just in. The strange, bony quadruped bites Tia in her stomach for 5 and wrenches back and forth, enough to knock Tia onto the ground (prone).

R5T16: Hearing the sounds of combat to the south, Erasmus takes off, moving out of the darkened area to stand by the prone Tia. "Skeletal wolf in a room down here!" he calls out. "Blunt attacks best." Of course, he says that, but throws his pokey starknife at the skeleton wolf anyway, hitting it for 4 mod.
