    Jahn turns his attention to the nearest enemies, deciding to join Ken's efforts in removing the fiery opponent from the battlefield he turns and presses across the strange terrain to bring his weapon to bear against fire earth elemental.

    The wall of weird fire collapsed under the combined efforts of Thaum and Coney. Still parts of it were burning, but the way to the altar seemed to be free.

    Coney's Fireball catches the water elemental by surprise and the last of it's droplets evaporate not even leaving a faint mist behind.

    Ken's blade catches the fire elemental and rips him in twain, his black flames only flickering before being extinguished forever.

    Jahn steps forward, the earth elemental that had ripped out a stone door get's cut by Jahn's blade as if he was a butter elemental and Jahn wielded a hot knife. It collapsed in a pile of pale quartz crystals and cracked gems.

    When Larimar shoots his first ray of light it's extremely effective burning away a large chunk of the puddle of Darkness... With something or someone underneath! The second ray of light utterly dispels the weird, yellow-eyed darkness and from underneath emerges a weird looking woman in something that was once a bright red shirt, now ripped apart and faded only hold together by several weird metallic symbols. She wears a tattered green cape with sizable holes in them. Her pants on the other hand are perfectly intact and off a bright green color. Her Hands and feet are wrapped through by metallic bands like bandages, with weird draconic letters wrought into it.

    When she raises her head Larimar sees sharp pointy ears, not like elven ears and glowing red eyes that seem to burn directly into his soul.

    The elemental went down in a hurry, and the wall is extinguished. Larimar is doing fine! All in all, things are looking up.

    And then the lady with the glowing eyes emerges from the black goo and proceeds to batter Larimar and Ken, along with a massive burst of Shade energy. Acting without thinking, Thaum sends a diminished droplet of healing to Larimar, trying to keep him as far away from the brink as possible, before rushing back over to Ken and touching his back, wiping away the wounds and maladies as they come, sending a wave of Undine's mana washing through him.

    "If you calmed down, I am sure we could find a solution for your aggression and hunger issues, madam," Thaum calls through the chaos. Not that it will help, and even if there was a chance to talk it is probably too late already, but, well, you never know.

    Larimar takes a brutal kick to the chest. Maybe he'd be coughing up a bit of blood at this point if Thaum hadn't healed him so quickly. Luckily, whoever this woman was didn't spend all her energy pounding his face or he'd have been a goner for sure.

    Damn, this woman thing is fast... gotta fix that.

    Maybe it looked like Larimar was clutching himself or reeling in pain, but he was actually preparing something.

    Coney was just breathing a sigh of relief the elementals vanished, when Larimar's magic revealed the red-eyed dervish woman. It would be fascinating and compelling, if she weren't completely terrifying.

    Perhaps the woman wouldn't be so terrifying if she couldn't see where she was going? Wriggling her nose, Coney shot off a burst of dust that, she hoped, might slow her down.

    Ken is taken aback by the sudden turn of events. Is she an elf? What has brought her to this point?

    Though the strange woman's attack hurts him badly, Thaum is again quick to come to the rescue.

    Elf or no, the woman poses an immediate danger, and Ken turns his greatsword in her direction.

    The woman evades Ken's attacks gracefully though his first attack cuts of some of her hairs. (A near miss).

    Jahn's attack though hits her by surprise and she staggers, coughing up a sizable chunk of blood, but at the same time her body heats up and new courage seeps through her.

    Coney's spell explodes at her sides but she can avoid the glitters flying into her eyes. It still seems to startle her otherwise immensely.

    She takes a short step towards Thaum and punches him in his stomach. But it seems she not just punches him...

    Thaum very much feels the gut punch, knocking the air out of him and at the same time having some of his reserves ripped out as well. Doing his best to remain standing, Thaum steps further into the room, roughly between all of the scattered partymembers, and casts a healing droplet over to Larimar. Hoping to halt or at least slow down the woman's onslaught, Thaum concentrates, letting a fine mist appear around the woman's head as he raises his hand.

    "Stop," he says, beginning to lower his hand, the waters seeking to calm the woman's body into total inaction, seeping in as if to have it hibernate in place.

    With a quick hop, Coney is beside the woman, and rolls cautiously to one side to protect her spellcasting. To distract the woman, Coney smiles again, and her front teeth turn to icicles. If fire didn't work, perhaps cold would be more effective. She tries to bring forth a simple translocation, swapping Jahn for herself.

    Ken's attack misses the incredible fast woman.

    When Coney smiles at the red-eyed woman with her icicle teeth she seems to have a short moment of pure panic. But her iron will seems to defeat that fear. Her short lapse of judgement leaves her unprepared for Jahns sudden attack. His special ability of his blade seems to shatter on her iron will, as does Thaum's spell.

    With the raging tide of physical harm continuing to rain down on the party, Thaum can do little else but to try to keep it at bay before it gets too overwhelming. Stepping closer to the fray, another significant part of his reserves is expended in order to send a wave of ephemeral water washing over himself, Jahn, and Ken, wiping away wounds.

    Coney's heart lurches when she sees the extraordinary battering that Jahn and Ken receive, and she feels a parallel pang of guilt for having directly placed Jahn into that place of danger.

    Coney paused to think about how to reach this woman, to stop this sudden flurry of ultra-violence. She watched her colleagues counter-attack, and then Coney stepped forward, seemingly out of the shadows*, and spoke clearly to the red-eyed woman.

    "My Lady, you are outnumbered, and fighting people who did not seek a fight. You should stop attacking and have a long and careful conversation with us about why you are here, in case we can help."

    Larimars perfect throw hits the women square in the middle of her back. She is able to not get clinged to the floor but despite changing to a more defensive martial stance the attacks of Jahn and Ken finally bring her down. When she falls down she begins to rapidly age. When she connects to the floor there is only a little bit of ash left of her.

    The only substantial thing that is left behind are the iron wraps around her hands and feet that seem to be inscribed in draconic. Some medals that look like there are military in origin. Some really comfy looking but ash filled pants and her tattered cape.

    The atmosphere in the room seems to shift and the sound of gentle rushing water is heard.

    Watching his companions defeat the woman, with her turning to ash, Thaum looks around, following his mental tally. "Is everyone alright? Does anyone need healing?" he calls out immediately, sending out a tiny droplet to Coney that wipes away what wounds he had to prioritize less than others throughout the fight. While it was not as giant and chaotic a brawl as the defense of Rabiton, fighting against the constant strain of this place on him and the withering harm inflicted on the group took a fair bit out of the healer, making him have to catch his breath.

    "You all fought very well. I will... I will identify the belongings soon. I require a moment, please." Deep breaths, one hand on a knee. "What drives a person to become like this?" he asks no one in particular, looking over to the ashen remains. He will not get used to being part of killing another, villain or not.

    The rushing of water seems to slowly fill the pit. But some how you're sure that it will just fill it and not overflow. The water seems also not that well... It's probably not poisonous or will immediately cause disease but it's not clean.

    After Coney's apology Jahn claps his hands, his smile beaming ear to ear "Are you kidding? That was such a thrill ride. I think I'll be writing a song about it. Maybe I'll call it... Warriors in the Water Temple. Still a working title of course.

    Jahn sheathes his sword. While he seems his chipper self, it's pretty clear from his body language that the fight physically exhausted the bard (Fatigued for 10 minutes after using Snowflake Wardance). "Thank you for the healing magic Thaum. Without your efforts it's not clear how this would've turned out."

    "That is what I am here for," Thaum responds to Jahn with a reassuring smile before turning back to the temple. He sighs. Unsure what he expected, but with this place having been so thoroughly damaged, what little chance of gaining any sort of insight into what happened to him seems pretty much gone.

    "This place will take a long time to heal." At this point, Thaum is not even sure what restoring this place will accomplish. Maybe this is just a giant waste of basically restoring a fancy fountain, but he tries to invest some energy. And suddenly feels a heavy draw on his inner reserves, and it remains. With how closely tied his reserves are to his life force... it is perpetually uncomfortable, dimming the light of his eyes a little. At least the bad dreams of the people outside should have stopped by now. Maybe this also stopped the monsters in the chasm. Still need to find whatever is refining the shadebloom.

    "Let us... let us leave this place." Thaum sounds and looks tired, the fight and now this investiture having drawn out most of his energies.

    "The temple needs to mend, and all my mana is Undine-aligned, thus I attempted to invest some of my reserves into this place. It draws more than I anticipated. I hope this will do good somehow, and not simply prepare a new lair for the rampant flood of villains this world seems to be suffering from right now." This will take time to adjust to. In the meantime, Thaum walks back out of the temple room, to take a look at the pit and wait for transportation.
