Default Shut the Box Dice Game as a Rolling Tray?

I was doing some Christmas shopping and randomly came across a game I have never heard of called "Shut the Box".

It consists of a really cool looking box with a rolling area and another area that is comprised of tiles that flip down from 1-9.

Don't you think this would be a cool role tray and a fun way to keep track of your spell slots? (Leave a mini dice in front of the tile to keep track of slots left, flip the tile down when you run out of slots).

What do you think? What fun stuff have you guys hijacked for D&D from others games?

    P.S.
Another Idea I had was wearing on of those dice rolling spin rings on each finger to keep track of spell slots.

    For reference, here's the game.

It could be quite a useful dice tray and tracker, yes.
I'm not sure about tracking spell slots using dice - I suspect it'd be very easy for the dice to get knocked off or tipped while you're rolling other dice in the tray - but it'd be good to track durations of spell, conditions, or whatever ("You're stunned for three rounds", etc).

So cool, although I think that it needs a little bit more tuning to be helpful.

Maybe it could be use as a CR pool for your session, having each tile tied to and already prepared encounter. Or it could be use for random encounters or even treasure, assigning values to each tile.

It can be used for almost any random table, including rumors and information. Or if you want some visual aid to let your players realize how injured is a monster, each tile representing 25 hps or so.

What you want for utility is something more like this:

    Specifically the ability tray option.
