Trying to find a choose your own adventure book fom my past

Greetings Playgrounders,

Long ago in the distant times of the 90's I had a choose your adventure style book. My brother and I have been trying to find it off and on again for years with no success.

The plot was about a young space adventurer whose ship, the spacecrawler, crashes on a medieval planet where two armies of space invaders are fighting each other while trying to take over the planet. Other details I recall are the protagonist having a pack that said "earth first" and a dwarf / gnome that could give you a charm that either killed you or allowed you to "win" the adventure.

I've combed the web and ruled out the Choose your own Adventure brand books and can't find any leads.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe something from another CYOA-like series like Find Your Fate or Pick a Path? Or Fighting Fantasy?

Thank you, I'll have to check. As long as I can find a plot summary it shouldn't be too hard. Unfortunately most searches lead me back around to the choose your own brand.
