    Default Talenta halfling

Hi everyone, I search a build for a talenta halfling (base on talenta warrior feat). My DM is OK I can take the feat but I can't have a Dino.

I thinks the best way is to go fighter 5 lvl, 1 beastmaster and halfling out rider.

The big problem I have is I need to much Feats :

    For mount
    For melee
    For boomerang (and throw)

Anyone can help me to chose which Feats at which lvl.

talenta warrior feat isn't particularly good, sure it is better than weapon focus or exotic weapon proficiency but still not a particularly good feat. To be honest, you should be focusing in on melee, throwing, or mounted, trying to do all three is the road to a useless character.

Also a couple of questions can you be a strongheart halfling, do you get flaws?

Halfling uber charger build is your best choice for mounted. Halfling Outrider counts for both progressing animal companion and mount at the same time so it is a good idea to take advantage of that. However, it is pretty feat intensive especially if you don't get flaws and aren't a strongheart halfling.

    Paladin 5/Beastmaster 1/Wild Plains Outrider 3/Halfling Outrider 10

I would suggest Brixashulty, Riding Dog, or Wolf. Wolf and riding dog are about the same except wolf has trip and is faster whereas riding dog is trained for war and can wear barding. Check if you can get Warbeast (MMII) and Magebred. Warbeast should only work on wolf and brixashulty since riding dog already technically has it, whereas magebred is just awesome and shouldn't be an issue since you aren't a ranger.

Halfling no flaws: Mounted Combat l1, Skill Focus (Handle Animal) l3, Track L6, Mounted Archery L9, Devoted Tracker L12, Ride-By Attack l15, Spirited Charge l18

Halfling 1 flaw/Strongheart: Mounted Combat B, Skill Focus (Handle Animal) l1, Track L3, Devoted Tracker L6, Mounted Archery L9, Ride-By Attack l12, Spirited Charge l15, Improved Mounted Archery/Talenta Warrior L18

Strongheart Halfling 1 flaw (or 2 flaws no Strongheart): Mounted Combat B, Mounted Archery Flaw, Skill Focus (Handle Animal) l1, Track L3, Devoted Tracker L6, Ride-By Attack L9, Spirited Charge l12, Talenta Warrior/Improved Mounted Archery l15, Talenta Warrior/Improved Mounted Archery L18

Strongheart Halfling 2 flaws: Mounted Combat B, Mounted Archery Flaw, Ride-By Attack Flaw, Skill Focus (Handle Animal) l1, Track L3, Devoted Tracker L6, Spirited Charge L9, Tremendous Charge l12, Talenta Warrior/Improved Mounted Archery l15, Talenta Warrior/Improved Mounted Archery L18

If you want to be a thrower look at taking some combination of Master Thrower, Whisperknife, and Bloodstorm Blade prcs and maybe invisible blade; would have to take a bit of time to come up with a good build but Fighter, Ranger, rogue, swashbuckler and swordsage are all good base class choices for the build and you would want a mix of at least two of them to optimize the thrower. I personally lean towards swashbuckler 3/rogue 2 but really depends. talenta warrior for boomerang could work ok here but these builds are going to be pretty feat starved in order to get a thrower working well and dealing decent damage.

For Melee I would look at Swashbuckler/Rogue build with craven, darkstalker, two weapon fighting, Underfoot Combat, Confound the Big Folk. Talenta warrior could work alright here as would taking a couple levels of swordsage around level 9-12 to optimize maneuver choices.

Just letting you know I'm working on a write-up for a Talenta Warrior. You absolutely can do everything, but it is harder to accomplish, and an Ubermount Charger will be more powerful. But the flavour of a Talenta Warrior is amazing.

Flaws yes and strongheart I thinks yes.

But what I like into talenta warrior is to play with 3 weapons is same time and no have just distance mount or melee. The feat is need to take at lvl 1 if I what to play with this weapon, I thinks.

I don't know if paladin is better than warrior, for me warrior is a little better and my DM permit to use mount just with handle animal.

@Falontani can you send me what you have make for the moment ? I'm curious ^^

If you can get stuff from pathfinder get yourself a blinkback belt. If you’d rather not invest in Keen then get a Scabbard of Keen Edges.

Your mount is: Whatever you want. Honestly though Windrider and Halfling Outrider do not specify, and specifically allow you to choose whatever mount you ride as your special mount. Bond with a Triceratops if you want to.

You’ve got poison, throwing, melee, and mount all here. Like I said you’d be more powerful as a mount ubercharger, but ya know what, screw that. If you have any questions just let me know.

In Eberron, subrace/race variant usually doesn't matter; the exception is for the Player's Handbook races, which are the only versions of those races (Monster Manual versions such as tallfellow and deep halfling are ineligible) to get a dragonmark. You can be a strongheart halfling and Talenta warrior just fine, but it will be special if you get the Mark of Healing. Not capital-S Special like, say, an ex-drow Dragonborn getting the Mark of Healing, but definitely special.

Talk to your GM about whether this is true in your campaign.

I was trying to build a Talenta Halfling with the Ghostwise subrace - they seem pretty similar (barbarian-like) that it would work pretty well as a subspecies.

A telepathic dinosaur riding halfling that dazes everyone with boomerangs
