Wayfinders: Off Course (DnD inspired webcomic)
Hello everyone <3
I am go-creator of an epic fantasy adventure webcomic called:
Wayfinders: Off Course
It is a webcomic based around our own DnD campaign
The peace ship that should have ended a war, sinks in the middle of the ocean. Now three unlikely adventurers find themselves stranded on a mysterious island with a mysterious [spoilers] - and the impossible job of finishing their journey before war breaks out again. Oh, and magic is sick, navigation is all hecked up, and the gods are NO HELP. -- Wayfinders: Off Course is a D&D-inspired epic fantasy adventure, with wacky shenanigans and tender moments in equal measure.
Read it on Tapas:

Re: Wayfinders: Off Course (DnD inspired webcomic)
It seems someone or something wants our heroes to go somewhere specific.
And there are no animals?
Yeah, I'm going with not good.
The only question is what kind of not good.
If they're lucky something's hungry.
If they aren't it's some grand fate call to adventure world saving quest stuff.Last edited by Kantaki; 2020-03-18 at 02:58 AM.

"Boring". Right.
That won't last I'd wager.
Also, those are some awesome lockpicking skills."If it lives it can be killed.

Re: Wayfinders: Off Course (DnD inspired webcomic)
That's... horrible.
Those poor people...
I wonder what went wrong though.
"Wayfinder" sounds like it would be a compass or sextant or something like that.
Not a creepy "draw everything towards myself and never let it leave" bowl thingy.
So I guess this isn't what should happen.
Unless it's a trap? Would make sense, making it so that if a stranger (enemy?) messes around with your Navi they won't get anywhere.
Would mean the original makers had a vicious streak a mile wide and a serious disregard for the life's of innocents, but it would be a feature, not a bug.
Alternatively whatever testing procedures those guys used broke something.
Which is a possibility I guess, those post-its don't give the impression of a very professional bunch.
At the very least it doesn't seem they knew what they were dealing with. Which makes it tragic, but not unprecedented. New knowledge often comes with a steep price for the first to reach for it.
Unfortunately the best way to learn what not to do tends to be someone doing it.
Still, that doesn't help our protagonists.
Whether accident or purpose, if want to leave they have to figure out where the Wayfinder has its off-switch.Last edited by Kantaki; 2020-05-11 at 03:18 AM.
