The last 10 seconds or so was the Emperor cutting a curtain in his throne room which revealed a dragon behind it. Because dragon just apparently chills out behind a curtain in the throne room at all times, waiting for a convenient sword to cut the entire height of the curtain somehow.

Well, I explicitly had my avatar based on the main 3.5 image, which does have a human for scale. I never actually looked into it, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out.

I love that book, and the entire series it is a part of. Shame they never made a movie out of it.
Also, I believe there is actually a scene in the emperor's throne room (in the book) where a character mistakes the emperor's dragon's wings for giant curtains (because they are so large).

Yep, I initially thought the curtains-in-Eragon reference was a reference to that scene. It was a very effective reveal.

I too look forward to the day when they make actual movies out of that series - or at least, movies in which I don't literally doze off during the climactic scene.

Compartment? What is the word I am looking for. In James Bond, From Russia With Love, when he's on the train, he's in a semi private space with a door ... what is that term?????? In Harry Potter, that little room where he and Ron and Hermione first meet during the first book/movie.

In the UK that was a compartment, as you guessed. They don't make them now, it's all switched to seats all the way down.
