[Ramsus]

"Did he just try and lie to us?" Sif asks Blanc. "Yes, I think he did. How unfortunate. I guess we'll start with his friend's left arm." Sif then cracks one of a nearby stone into another one hard enough to crack one or both of them while Madreth makes a muffled scream by holding his hands over his mouth.

"The truth now, or your friends are going to have to be carried out of here. For a lack of working legs." Vault says. Madreth and Blanc share uncomfortable looks. Sif gives Vault a thumbs up.

"Ah, I see. You care about plants, but not people. I suppose we should have assumed that since you sent a bunch of enslaved trees and shrubbery to rip out the intestines of children. How about then we show you the same treatment. Maybe your little lizard too." Vault says. To drive the point home she has Pet scratch a nail over the druid's stomach just enough to draw blood.

Sif makes a face and Madreth and Blanc look even more unsettled.

Vault blinks in surprise and says, "In Vecna's name? Well that answers the question of if Sally here is a familiar or not I suppose."

"Vecna? The god of undeath isn't very popular with druids last I heard." Madreth says. "Now please, for the sake of your pet please begin telling us the truth."

Vault looks at the others to see if they have any more questions. Everyone looks at everyone else, clearly trying to stall time to think of something else but after thirty or so seconds it becomes clear nobody does.

Vault turns back to the druid and asks, "Anything else you'd like to add? Maybe something juicy enough we'd consider letting you go?"

[Ramsus]

"Really!?" is the last thing the druid hears before Sif renders him unconscious once more.

"This is very...." Madreth says and Blanc finishes with "not good."

"Vault, could you try asking the trees if they could... how to put it?" Madreth asks. Sif finishes with, "Friggin' demolish this place."

Vault shrugs and says, "I'll try." and goes off to find a moving tree. Not really weird for her. She's part moving tree herself.

"Excuse me friend. Could I persuade you to tear up the ground and scatter the stones from that wall around so that it would extremely difficult to place a structure there or remake the wall or jade circle they used to enslave you with earlier. I'm not sure if my friends and I are capable and besides we're quite worried about how the people in the town are faring."

"...That is the best idea I have ever heard."

[Ramsus]

Vault gives the tree a smile and a farewell pat on the bark before letting the others know.

"Wonderful." Madreth says. "Now to... carry these unconscious people back to town with us." Blanc says.

"Don't worry, I got this." Sif says and slings the druid and eladrin over the back of Saffron and picks up the shardmind herself.

"I was wondering why you chose a big wolf thing." Vault remarks. "Yeah, I just thought 'big scary thing that can be used like a horse'." says Sif.

"A yes. A worg. Goblins often use them as mounts." Madreth replies. Sif and Vault give him looks like "ok yes that's helpful information but we weren't actually asking". Which totally fly over his head. Blanc gets all of this and chuckles to himself.

And so they go back to the town which is hopefully neither on fire or overrun by awakened shrubbery.

On the way back to town Sif keeps an eye out for any wild animals they can study in the hopes of learning more unusual magic.

Sif takes a brief look around the forest and locates a baby owl in a nest. It is asleep.

While Sif observes the sleeping owl, something else also observes it, then snatches it up and flies up to the next branch, coiling around it and swallowing the baby owl whole.
After all, it is a flying snake.

[Ramsus]

Sif enjoys watching the beauty of nature for a few moments and smiles as she feels herself learn some new spells, while everyone else wonders why she's creepily smiling at the sight of a snake eating a baby owl. Then they all move on and try to forget that ever happened.

Some of the unconscious bodies are on worgback. One is being outright carried. When the party approaches the city, archers take aim upon seeing the worg.
However, the lady who had called out to you guys earlier orders them to lower their weapons. Outside of the pile of burnt shrubs, there's no hint at the danger Triboar had been in less than an hour ago. At the woman's order, the gates open and you are permitted entry.

The group heads through the gate and waits around to see if one of the guards will come to meet them.

The woman who waved you through eventually meets up with you all.
"Hey. Did you guys get the things to stop attacking?"

[Ramsus]

"Yes, yes we did!" Sif beams proudly and then just exuberantly unloads the whole story of what has happened onto this poor woman, glossing over the intimidation of their captives.

Vault chimes in to explain any parts about talking to the trees and adds, "If you have anyone in town who speaks Sylvan, you might want to send them to talk to the moving trees. If not, I'd suggest thinking carefully about chopping down trees in that area."

Madreth also adds, "Though they may move closer to town when they realize it's easier for their leaves to gather sunlight without the competition of all the normal trees."

"We did not write them down, but I did study them and we did bring them with us. Hoping we could sell them. Preferably to someone who intends to break them apart to make jewelry or such." Madreth replies.
