    Oh, I guess I did have one question before you look at Geras since it seems like there isn't quite a consensus on the issue. How do you judge Precious Apprentice to work with the Known-List spontaneous casters?

    The only requirement in the text for what spell you can learn is that you have access to the school of magic that the spell belongs to. Does it then allow you to learn a spell that is not on you class's spell list? The text seems to allow this but I've seen arguments both ways. I've also seen the argument that since it doesn't say it actually adds the spell to your class's spell list then as soon as you get to the level where you can cast 2nd level spells you suddenly don't know the spell anymore. Your ruling on all that would probably be a pretty deciding factor in whether or not the feat is worth taking.

    Precious Apprentice only gives you a spell already on your class list. It just lets you cast it early and gives a bonus slot later. I do allow some shenanigans with it, but gaining spells from outside your class isn't one of them.

    • Your hit points should be 38 by my count, not 33.
    • You haven't factored your ACP in on skills.
    • You didn't pay your 1cp for your piece of chalk.

    • How did you get 12 in Charisma? You rolled an 11.
    • You seem overspent on skill points, as if you applied the Int bonus retroactively and/or didn't pay the cross class points somewhere. I couldn't figure out how to get them to work, so that needs correcting.

    Ah, I never noticed until this moment that you said +1 after the 1/2HD. *sigh* As for the ACP the sheet's supposed to do it automatically but it didn't because I wrote -2 instead of 2. And the 1CP has been subtracted.

    The +1 misc mod on diplomacy comes from my second martial study in white raven tactics, which gives a +1 bonus to the key skill for the discipline. I fixed everything else, thanks for checking.

    Ah, got it. Looks like I didn't flag that feat right for White Raven on my spreadsheet. So it missed adding the +1 automatically, and I was too tired to spot it.

    Ranks in Craft (armorsmithing). Crafting my own armor saved 1533.33gp. I paid full price for the enchantments.

    Heavy Plate (2,000) + Masterwork (150) + Chitin material (150) = 2300.
    Crafting: 2300/3 = 766.67gp.
    +1 enhancement = 12*1000 = 1000.
    1766.67 final price.

    Random thought. There have been 8 character submissions. Would anyone be interested in my running two different parties, one of the caravan guards and another one of the locals in an unofficial race to be the first to "solve" the main quest?

    Edit: I just realized I missed Esprit15's submission. So, that would be one party of 5 and another of 4.

    Hey I apologize I had swapped feats around and originally had it at level 4 but just deleted rows and moved things around. Later I cosmetically added the levels to help you out. The correct feat order is 3) Martial Stance (Leading the Charge) and then 4F) Mage Slayer. Mechanically I didn't make a mistake... unless you rule that Mage Slayer is not a fighter bonus feat.

    Mage Slayer is a fighter bonus feat if you look at the table in complete arcane. It has the superscript1 next to it and then says the standard: 1 A fighter may select this feat as one of his fighter bonus feats... It does not, however, list it in the feat description like it normally does for fighter bonus feats.

    So up to you if I made zero mechanical mistakes or not. I'm hoping, "no", lol. Let me know!

    • The naturally psionic thri-kreen is a +2 level adjustment. It loses those abilities to get down to a +1. There's a full race entry here.

    I've actually never had anyone try to take them as Fighter bonus feats before and never noticed the three mage slayer feats marked as fighter bonus feats on the table before. It is reprinted in MM5 with no mention of being a Fighter feat. I think it's clear that the table is incorrect here, and the standard is that text beats table. I'm willing to allow it as a Fighter bonus feat, but not in addition to counting the sheet as flawless.

    That was kind of my thought. I quite like the characters submitted and didn't want to cut any of them out. I also didn't want to do a party larger than 5. I also didn't want to run two parties concurrently through the same plot in the same direction from the same starting point.

    Weird, I could have sworn Psionic Thri-Kreen were +1, and I just somehow missed it while reading their entry. Oh well, didnít care for the Psionic abilities anyways. Iíll make the edits shortly.

    Thematically. I'd make the teams based on where I think the character would better fit into the stories I want to tell. If someone has a particularly strong preference, I'll take that into consideration though.

    True. My kukri were a big money sink for me. Think Iíll make a belt my next purchase.

    Also, with someone else also buying dastana, I think Iíll swap my shield for that, seeing as I need all the AC I can get if my HP is only slightly above the monkís.
