Gilnsem Tosscobble, Investigator for the City Watch

The background to be fleshed out more is that he is effectively a forsensic specialist, but not by that name. He comes in after the fact to look at the clues others might have missed, especially material clues. He is an oddity, preferring less to speak to witnesses or hear complaints regarding a crime, but rather looking for what the scene says.

Urmdir, cleric of Torm and professional Brewer. If anyone sees any mistakes in the character sheet please tell me because I've never made a character in 5e before.

Loving the entries so far! JNA, interesting idea being a staffer at the Yawning Portal. I hadn't considered that angle.

This brings up a good point. I forgot that SCAG was also the Races of Faerun equivalent this time around. Obviously, the SCAG variants are appropriate for a FR game. So, new change (I'll update the Big 16): you can take a SCAG subrace or variant race (other than winged tiefling).

Thesp Eltorchul, a noble who badly wants to be an adventurer
    https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=2164241
    Spoiler: backstory
    Show
The Eltorchul family is known in Waterdeep for the Eltorchul Academy, a small arcane academy run out of the family villa. Thesp, much to the shame of his family, has no head for magic. Despite years spent attempting to teach him, he remains unable to cast even the simplest cantrip. His father blames this on Thesp's obsession with stories of adventurers, and there's probably more truth to this than Thesp would admit. Thesp has grown used to his family's disappointment, and spends most of his time in taverns around the city. His family's connections to the Underdark draw him to the Yawning Portal, where he's struck up a friendship with Meloon Wardragon. Thesp likes listen to Meloon's stories, and Meloon likes that Thesp buys him ale.
Thesp hopes to one day be asked to join an adventuring party, but so far it hasn't happened.

Allow me to introduce ... Aeryn thar Varendiil, Knight of the Silver Chalice

    Spoiler: Appearance
    Show

    Spoiler: Personal History
    Show
Quick synopisis that I will flesh out is that Aeryn is a young man, born to minor nobility in Tethyr. Unlike his father and older brother, he was not well suited for martial prowess, or conquest in the field of battle. As such he was largely raised by his father's chancellor, a scholastic man trained in the arcanuum. It quickly became apparent that Aeryn was well suited to the arcane arts, and the chancellor trained him well, but the chancellor was, in fact, a spy, loyal to the Red Wizards of Thay, and by using Aeryn's connection with his family, the Thayan's were able to spy on the Tethyrian troops, and route them in a significant conflict.

While the nobility of Tethyr did not blame Aeryn for being misled by the spy, once revealed. However, as the battle had cost Aeryn his older brother's life, he, himself could not forgive himself. He exiled himself from Tethyr, and sought to redeem himself in the eyes of his brother, his penitant act and devotion to the crown of Tethyr brought him to the attention of the Knights of the Silver Chalice, who aided the young noble, training him in the courtly art of diplomacy, intrigue and persuasion, while continuing in his studies of the arcane. They then had him placed in Waterdeep, where he was to make contact with a noble family and advise them in coming difficult times.

I think it would be cool, if, as a Knight of the Chalice, Aeryn was assigned to protect, advise, support, the Eltorchul family, thereby providing a link to Kalashak's character.

Sheet still in construction, but introducing Ahlam yi Ithal, exiled Calishyte courtier getting a bit more comically desperate each passing day for any chance to obtain resources to deal with some... particularly ill-made dealings.

Edit: Here's the link for the Noble Genie warlock patron, for your approval. Alternatively, she could work as a Wild Magic Sorcerer.

Interested. Never had the chance to play adventure paths, really.

    Is an artificer acceptable?

Noble Genie patron is fine. It's a cool concept, and doesn't seem OP. It's also very Calimshan

No artificer, unfortunately- it's from the Eberron setting book and doesn't really fit in the FR.

@everyone- Since we have a good amount of interest already, I'm going to cut it off at tomorrow evening, try to get the game started Wednesday. Try to get your characters made in the next 28-ish hours.

Are you going to judge the characters and accept the best ones or just take all of them?

Depends. I'd like to take everyone, so if that's doable I will. If there's like 12 entries, I'll have to judge.

    Good news everyone!

Six people submitted characters, and I said I was ideally looking for 4-6. So you are the party! Mosey on over to the OOC and re-post your sheet.
