you don't "come to" or "wake up" or anything merciful that shows the binary state of "normal" magical confusion effects in the game. Rather, your mind simply manages to overcome its primal state. Perhaps because being pinned has allowed you to think on your disadvantageous position. The nature of your confusion is NOT a "I was mentally whammied, but now I'm good," but you may play it as you will. Rather, the confusion effect was an outgrowth of a spike of your particular mental affliction(s), which Flair may or may not recognize (your call).

... you are pinned by Brother Jaume with Vilma helping him. Jens' lifeless body is next to you on the floor, and Dorn is looking to the east in a guarded fashion. What do you do?

Tears welled up in Flair's eyes as he regained control of himself. The beast, the Hound of Tindalos, had done something to him; the alien geometries of its form seem to have somewhat unbound him from time. Under its influence, the man who he once was; the cruel, ex-cleric Gherardo Flavio Pervasi, had bled into his timeline. For half a minute or so, he was a prisoner behind his eyes as the worst aspect of his soul came to bear.

And that terrified him. His entire ethos of choosing to be a better man had stripped away by this otherworldly monster. It would almost certainly be back; they tended to come after those who travel through time and space without regard and their time in a planer overlay surely counted as such, and when it did, would he be able to stop Flavio from returning? Tears streamed down his face as he pondered on what to do. Should he even try if it could be undone like that? Was he just lying to himself that he could be a better man? Why bother at all?

He took a shuddering breath as he opened his eyes, tapping a different emotion to calm himself. Spite. He was going to be the best man he could, not for himself, not for the good of the world, not for some ethereal godly reward. He was going to do good wherever he could as a vaffanculo to that stronzo Flavio. Unlike Cody and the archetypical spirits he binds, Flavio is an uninvited guest in his soul, and if he can't exorcise that part of himself, then he can at least make sure it's having as an uncomfortable time as possible.

Rather than try to explain his mental state, he instead rattled off what details he could recall about their foe. "It's a Hound of Tindalos. They hunt those that interrupt the timeline via temporal/dimensional means. It's intelligent, but values nothing that we could possibly have. Its gaze can also tear you up as it shears your body across the timeline.

As Flair stops struggling and begins to seem like his old self, Brother Jaume sighs with relief and releases the grapple. He stands and offers Flair a hand up.
“Good to have you back, brother!”

Combat Ends ....

The party is tense for maybe a minute before. Dorn, in particular, doesn't give up his guarded stance for at least a minute.

"I was so close," he says once he begins to calm down. "I was so close to destroying that thing that killed Jens. At least we know, with righteousness on our side, that thing bleeds. That thing can die."
