"Well, Mistress Qinqirelle should know best, should she not?" Alistair comments, dismounting his chair. "So if she says whenever, I suppose that means whenever. Best that we move quickly, lest the murderous dragon catch wind of our coming."

He makes a mental note to explain the expression 'weigh anchor' to her at some point in the future.

Also reduces how much sleep I need, which was incredibly helpful when dealing with more nocturnal folk" says Aleister, rubbing his ring finger while doing so.

Ildilyntra Qinqirelle walks to an empty spot on the beach. Then she pulls out a tiny swan shapedtoy boat out of her pocket. She tosses it into the water and it grows into a large white feather covered swan boat boat.

Knowledge: Life as a bullywug is nasty, brutish, and wet. Bullywugs kill for sport, systematically destroy their own hunting grounds, and make a religious fetish of summoning monsters who may or may not stay within their control. Bullywugs are frog-headed amphibious humanoids with green, gray, or mottled yellow skin. They have long, flicking tongues that can barely fit themselves around a form of stunted Common. They stand 4 to 7 feet tall, weigh 100 to 300 pounds, and fight with spears and other sharp weapons they can poke out of the water. Bullywugs make it a point of pride to wear at least leather armor, even though swimming in armor isn't easy.

Most bullywugs encountered outside their homes are warriors. Bullywugs prefer to fight in or near water. Whenever possible, they use summoned monsters as the first wave of attack. In any given fight, there is therefore a chance that bullywugs will fight to the death, no matter how stupid that seems, and a chance that they will flee for their lives when some of their numbers have fallen, even if they could otherwise win the fight. Bullywugs suffer no movement penalties for moving in marshes or mud.

Knowledge:The bullywug are a race of bipedal, frog-like amphibians. They natively inhabit swamps, marshes, mires, or other dank places, but have become more and more populous in major cities. Bullywug are covered with smooth, mottled olive green hide that is leathery and tough. They can vary in size from smaller than the average human to about seven feet in height. Their faces resemble those of enormous frogs, with wide mouths and large, bulbous eyes; their feet and hands are webbed.

Ramirez climbs into the boat. "I hope there is drink service on this cruise." he chuckled.

"Insofar as you're welcome to some of my cloak's sugared tea, there is," Alistair comments, following Ramirez onboard, "but I hope you brought your own cup."

I got a takeout cup, replies Orat, who settles down admidships with an open cup of hot milk with cinnamon in it.

Despite her apparent casualness she is actively scanning the horizon, the sky, the sea for potential trouble and probably the inside of the boat too.

The swan boat is a little over twenty feet long from the swan head at the bow to the swan tail feathers at the stern. The whole of the inside of the boat is open with movable benches, dividers and poles. The boat has no sails.


Ildilyntra Qinqirelle climbs aboard the boat and stands in the middle, waiting for everyone to get onboard.

Nefer orders Pandora and Pollux inside. And then Fiery, her mare. She tries to take as little space as possible, with the dogs curled under the mare in the center of the boat.

Alistair maneuvers through the benches and dividers to take up a position near the swan's head, then looks back at Ildilyntra.

"You mentioned that the dragon was forcing your people to grow plants for her—but what is she using those plants for?" he asks her. "Does she have any contacts outside the island who might be involved in what she's doing?"

Aleister grabs a seat by the stern of the ship, happy to just observe his new traveling companions for a while.

Medwyn slowly climbs in, a bit nervous about climbing into a boat with a horse, and ready to throw his spellbook onto the shore if it looks like they're about to capsize.

[Zarrgon]

The boat stays perfectly steady as people and animals come aboard.

Ildilyntra Qinqirelle "Plants have many uses. Food and medicine. Ingredients in alchemy items and magical items. Spell components. Really I have no idea what she does with them.

Contacts? I'm not really sure. There are more non elves on the island then we have ever let on before. "

"Well, as soon as we get rid of the dragon, you can start charging them rent. Or evict them, either way."

"Are any of them likely to be a problem? Or... do you think we can get any of them to turn on the dragon?"

Ildilyntra Qinqirelle "We don't have any contact with them. My kind keeps to ourselves. "

Medwyn points to his right ear at the claim that "her kind" keeps to themselves. "Not necessarily."

"Anyway... can you at least tell me who the extra interlopers are, and whether or not they seem to be doing the dragon's work?"

[Zarrgon]

Ildilyntra Qinqirelle "I don't know any of them. They come from all over. Our isle in the past was mostly close to visitors..we only let a couple on the isle. Now it's wide open, so anyone can come to our isle. They mostly stick to the coastline, and I'm not sure what they do. "

With everyone onboard, the under paddles start to move the boat along out into the open water at a slow and steady pace.

Ildilyntra Qinqirelle "The isle only has one port. Greenport. I was just heading there. It's the only place we normally allowed outsiders on the isle....before the dragon came."
