    Haley & Bozzok I think is much more meaningful than the other one.

    I do like seeing Nale and Thog interact, but Roy & Eugene really is such a central relationship to this story.

    Belkar & Vaarsuvius normally would have been knocked out easily if we were going off the pre-DSTP strips (generally speaking, I like my red oni, blue oni rivalries with slightly less of the bigotry I experienced in school from weirdo teenagers), it's bumped up because of the UD and beyond dynamic. The idea of two people who hated each other enough almost to death, after either being burnt out from a mangled version of survivor's guilt or learning the hard way that you can't just blow your problems up, awkwardly becoming co-workers trying not to bring it up old wounds is . . . really compelling, for a dynamic that started out relatively superficial.


    Can't speak for the second because I haven't read GDGU, so I'll just go for Minrah & Thor for the last. I like Minrah. I like how her belief in Thor is so genuine, and how that belief in a general Goodness permeates to the people around her. Can't go wrong with that.

    The first one is pretty tricky, but I think I prefer how Belkar & Roy work out. I genuinely didn’t even remember the first pairing in the second matchup, so I think that pretty clearly highlights why I’m going with
