[Nexus] The Black Dragon's Den XV

[Zefir]

The robed man turns to June as she addresses him. His staff hitting on the ground as if it carries most of his weight.

"I keep standing here for a while longer, miss." he says. He does sound rather gentel and calm as he speaks to her. His voice, still coming mostly thelepathic, appears friendly.
"I'm aware that you have to run your business, so can you tell my what you can offer me? Something that is gentle to the voice while it's stressed. Or would you like to hear something my masters migth offer you?"

[5a Violista]

"I'll get your drink first," June says, "and then you can tell me about your masters."
She tells him the list of drinks they have, and then adds, "If it's for your voice, I'd recommend the Hearth Brew Mead."

After he orders a drink, she gets it and comes back to deliver it to him and listen to his speech.

[Zefir]

The man does order whatever she suggested and what sounds less possible to knock him out. He has to play a role after all.

"As I said, my masters are on their way. They will come to gather some good they value most. They didn't tell me what exactly it is, but they told me what it is not." he pauses to hear the whispers and confusion rising in the people who listen. "They are not behind things you desire. Gold, emeralds or art is worth nothing were they come from. When they come and leave destruction to the people those things will remain, if you are willing to follow they will let you grab whatever drops on their path and if this alliance works well they even offer to hunt anyone down for you..."

[5a Violista]

After a few moments, June returns with a drink and holds it in front of the man.
She listens for a few moments,
then says,
"So, who are your masters, anyway?"

Presumably it's important to know who you'd work for before agreeing to join a cult or whatever this is supposed to be.

[Zefir]

The man appears eager to answer the question.

"I haven't met them yet." he says. "They aren't from this planet. They are traveler from another Universe. It is hard to describe them as they can take any form they like. They call themself 'Et vires recepit'. They appear to have a high culture as there minds are able to manipulate their surroundings or communicate over a far distance. You shall recognize them. They got pale white skin and there blood is blue."

She might notice that the hand grabbing the staff is also pale white with blue veins running over it.

[5a Violista]

"Huh," June says. "I see."

She looks at him for a few moments.

Then, gesturing at the guy's staff and hand, June mentions, "You must be related to them, then." He's never met one, but he looks like one, so...maybe he's related.

[Zefir]

((Sorry, i misses it))

The prophet looks at her and then at his hand. He seems to be in thoughts for a moment as he looks at his own skin.

"Related is not the right expression." he replies. "The masters appreiacted my wok and blessed me with this. Another gift if you serve them."

[5a Violista]

"Oh," June says.
She glances around, just in case there's anybody around that needs her.
There's not, at the moment.

"If you ask me, a 'gift' that changes how you look is kind-of a strange gift."

[Zefir]

Poor June, but also poor prophet. The less customers she got the less people he can speak to, right?
The prophet looks at her for amoment befor he speaks.

"I don't think it's strange. After all evolution had many such things. It's a question of like and dislike. Just think of tatoos. While I have to say my gift also works in my favor."

Tatoos do change your appereance, not as drastic as this, but they do.

[5a Violista]

Don't worry, more people should come in later.
Hopefully.

June leans close as if telling a secret, and says, "Don't tell anyone, but I'm not much of a fan of tattoos." But, she leans back away, smiles, and winks at him.

Well.
She decides maybe another important question is warranted.
"Well, let's say someone already follows some other god. How would that affect things, with your masters?"
