She shook her head. "Vecna threw his heart away to get this treasure. His godlihood is in that tower. His divine spark."

[Valmark]

Sirthis' eyebrows couldn't have raised higher.
"Alright, why are all the gods just throwing their Sparks aroud for all to partake? Aren't those important?" he shook his head, sighing.
"I'm not getting another god inside me. Anyway, thank you for the info. I hope they don't treat you too badly" he turned to leave, to go out and find a fly that would take him to the stables.

[Xihirli]

"You're so surprised that dead gods left their sparks in heavily fortified and/or hidden areas? Anyway, Vecna didn't leave it there."
The fly that had guided him there was still hovering next to him. "Rar. I am a fly," it reminded him.

[Valmark]

Sirthis turned back to Vashti.
"He did not? Isn't the Tower his place? Did the Shardies bring it there?"

[Xihirli]

Vashti smiled. “Paladins of Pelor brought it there. You’d have to ask them why. I think I’ll have a book about jungle cats, if you don’t mind.”

[Valmark]

Sirthis blinked a few times.
"...paladins of Pelor are stupid then. I'll see what I can find in the library" he nodded, turning to the fly.
"Fly -which from now on will be called Pete- can you bring me to the stables please?"

Vashti was past hiding behind lies at that point, Sirthis gleaned from her as Pete led him to what could be called stables if one composed stables of polished marble with individualized feeding troughs and immaculate floors staffed by a few Spriggans cleaning them directed by a Winter Eladrin.
The stablemaster let Sirthis in without a word and he was greeted with a great menagerie of mounts - griffons, sabre cats, polar bears, mammoths, a black unicorn - an entire underwater section of the stables was staffed by naiads, nixies, shark-kin and nereids hosted black underwater horses whose bodies could have been composed of kelp. Maybe that's why they were called kelpies.
Flies were being cleaned and fed, larger dragonflies who served as fast scouts were receiving the same treatment, and a seemingly ordinary black horse was also graced with being allowed in the stables.

[Valmark]

"Look Alown, plenty of new faces to meet!" he told her, taking her out of the cape.
"Let's greet some and get you acquainted" he went over to the flies and dragonflies, first. He was kinda curious about the horse, though.
P"Hi- I'm Sirthis and this is Alown. Just wanted for her to meet you all since it's likely she'll stay here for a while"

“I am Alown Rissen Gauder Sad Rescher!” Alown introduces herself. The dragonfly buzzed in amusement. “Hello, Alown. My name is Scout. Greetings Druid - tell me, are you the one Peach said had those.... good berries? She spoke highly of them, but I have never had any.”

[Valmark]

Sirthis nodded.
"Yeah, I am" he produced some "I can't make all that many unfortunately, but I don't mind sharing some" he gave a berry to the dragonfly.
"I should ask Hyrsam to bring some, he makes giant pies out of them"

[Xihirli]

The dragonfly buzzed in an approximation of a laugh. "Apologies, I was playing a bit of a joke. I cannot eat fruits." It crunched down on a dead bird in its trough. "But thank you kindly."
Alown gobbled up one of the goodberries.

[Valmark]

Sirthis giggled "I wasn't sure. I've had dragons swallow them down, and they really don't look like berry eaters" he pocketed the remaining berries.
"Let's go meet the rest- we can get you more acquainted later Alown" he waved goodbye, going to check out the horse.
"Hi- I'm Sirthis. I'm showing her around, since she'll probably stay here for a bit. Alown, go on, say hi" he gestured at the bat.

"I am Alown Rissen Gauder Sad Rescher!" Alown greeted the horse, which whinnied and ate oats.
It wasn't feeling talkative, apparently.

[Valmark]

"Eh, I'll take it as a greeting" he moved on to the bigger mounts- he wasn't sure Alown would like them, but they were both mammals so maybe?
"Hi, I'm Sirthis- I'm getting my bat friend acquainted with the place. She's Alown" he gestured towards the fruit bat.
He was getting a bit tired of greetings though.

[Xihirli]

The griffons let out eagle-like caws, but Sirthis could not understand them, as they were not beasts. A mammoth, however, introduced herself. "I am Bluh," the mammoth said. "This bat is cute."
"I am Alown Rissen Gauder Sad Rescher! You are strong!"
"Be my friend, please."
"You be mine first!"
"Okay."

[Valmark]

"Well, good to see you found a friend" Sirthis nodded, smiling.
"We can stay a bit if you want- I do have to go to the library, but it's not pressing. Or you can stay here while I go, I can come back later"

[Xihirli]

Alown was already playing in the long tufts of the mammoth’s hair, rolling around on her friend Bluh.

[Valmark]

"I'll take that as a yes" Sirthis nodded, turning to go away.
"Pete, thank you for helping" he gave the fly a berry "I should be able to get to the library by myself"

[Xihirli]

Pete nodded and went off to use the berry to woo one of the pretty flies in the stables.

Sirthis arrived in the libraries to find them once again teeming with activity, notably with Hoket and Aldora with a stack of books, Hoket scribbling down notes in a journal. On the desk were books such as

Sirthis went over to the two of them.
"Still me- I need to bother you again, Aldora. These are the books I previously checked, and I found out some things I'd like to check on. Books about the Toril realm, more specifically the desert areas. Also something about the denizens of Baator, or Baation"

[Xihirli]

"Right." Aldora stood. "Follow me, your grace."
She led Sirthis to one bookshelf on Toril, where he was able to locate a book on the religious traditions of the Calim desert called The Religious Traditions of the Calim Desert.
She then led him to a book on how to distinguish different devils called
Tiers of Devils in the Nine Hells.

[Valmark]

"This should be good" Sirthis nodded "I'm going to take them with me immediately. Oh, and really, call me Sirthis. That whole lord thing doesn't really suit me"
He looked at the books and added "Anything about a red star that appears randomly in the sky? We saw it last night and Mab told me it appears usually in times of peace talks... Which is ominous at best"

[Xihirli]

She shrugged. "There's not much point in astronomy books within the feywild, sorry... Sirthis."

[Valmark]

He nodded, smiling.
"That's ok, I'm probably getting too paranoid about a random red star- even if it's the only random red star I saw. I'll let you get back to your work- oh" he scratched his head "Vashti -the prisoner- asked for a book on, uh, jungle cats. That feels sillier now that I'm saying it out loud but hey, no harm in trying"

[Xihirli]

She nodded, and her snake hair did as well. "I can certainly see to that, your... Sirthis... ness. Sirthis."

[Valmark]

He giggled at that, covering his mouth to not be too blatant.
"Sorry, that was just too cute, didn't mean to offend. Thank you for that, Aldora. I'll probably be back to bring the books later. Is there anything I need to do to check them out?"

[Xihirli]

She shook her head, blushing with her human cheeks. "No, I'll just write down that you took them... Sirthis." She turned away while she still had some composure and went off to attend to that.

[Valmark]

"Alright, I'll come back later to bring them back, bye~" Sirthis said, passing by Hoket to say hi, still smiling from that exchange.

That done, he took his books to the armory.

Diandra was coaxing a shield out of an ironwood tree, and absently nodded to Sirthis as he walked in.

"Hey there- came to read" he said, going over to the tree he had previously climbed "It's not a problem if I stay on the tree, yes?"
