It's always an adventure shopping at the Gross Out. Sometimes they have weird stuff, other times they have stuff that's genuinely good. Like Cookies and Cream Pop Tarts, which are basically Oreos in Pop Tart form.

Oh dear. I forget you're further up north and not used to that at times, because 22's the temperature that my place is at right now, and it's nice. But we had no AC for the first bit of summer when it was getting warmer, so, I very, very much know the melting, stuffy feeling. IT sucks. I hope you're able to get cooling again soon.

The top of the world is weird; 22 is what I set my AC to cool to (if I've been in the hammock around midday/afternoon, I'll sometimes come in and drop it to 21 for a nice refreshing blast of cooling).

On top of everything else, main computer is now suffering from intermittent (and thus not isolatable) abrupt shut-offs. Only solution (after taking it in and having it work) is to log time between failures, changed power lead (outside possibility) and have given inside thorough compressed air clean and de-gunk of CPU heat sinks with cottonbud/compressed air.

Either likely PSU or motherboard if not that.

Have now reached point where am on very last straw.

I don't know how cold that is, but it is theoretically an idea.

If this building had AC I'd be fine. If I didn't have a broken fan I'd be mostly fine. I just need to get a new one which I'm doing todaay.

I don't know that but I do know for 100% sure that it is a miserable ****ing temperature because I am severely overheating just by existing.

My systems are inefficient! I literally spent like, 15 minutes last night trying to get to bed blabbering in what I was sure was english to Blue, 100% sure he was in communication with me, but he wasn't I was just delirious from heat!

How the **** are people who live close to the equator alive. How are you not literally cooked and dead? That temperature is insane.

Is it even winter if it doesn't get below freezing? Like, actual question. Is it valid to call it true winter if you're not COLD???

Oh, we redefine "freezing". Instead of meaning "the temperature at which water undergoes phase change," down here it means "November to March". And frankly, I wouldn't mind going further South during those months, because it's too damn cold already.

This is always going to be one of those things that blows my minds.

Like, I can completely and totally, utterly comprehend the idea of "people who live in different areas have different weather tolerances" but hearing it and trying to like, understand it physically, is so weird. Because I'm afraid of eating because the energy increase will make me hotter and it's at a temperature that you're all saying is normal and pleasant and it's like- are you okay? Where did Mother Nature hurt you?

Honestly seeign pictures of NY in winter I'm always puzzled for a moment by the fact that it's on the same latitude.

It certainly would be worth the trip. Warning though, anything north of west France and you better have a raincoat.
