Re: Anonymouswizard's Random Banter #227 and Free Cup of Tea
My demon slaying workout sessions have led to me listening to a lot more music, and given my taste in music this tends to have lead to listening to covers of anime songs.
It's really cool seeing all the different ways people choose to localize these songs... and astounding that some people are just terrible at word choice sometimes!

Re: Anonymouswizard's Random Banter #227 and Free Cup of Tea
All I'm saying is, carbon is carbon, and oxygen has, like, a bunch of protons, and everyone knows that hydrogen is a proton. So, for carbon dioxide, if we just sub in some hydrogens for one of the oxygens (since I just showed they're interchangeable, QED), and if we keep to the carbon bonding rules, that leaves us one carbon, one oxygen, and enough hydrogen to fill out the structural diagram, and we end up with methanol. Now, we still have 8 hydrogen ions left over from this, so we can go ahead and slap 6 together to form another carbon, and bam, we got us some methylene.
Thus, I have conclusively proven that carbon dioxide is not only organic, but is in fact doubly organic. As they say in the chemistry department, BOOYAKASHA!
This can stop here and now if you simply accept that I can science badly with far more finesse than you can science goodly. I also English great.Last edited by Peelee; 2020-06-28 at 10:31 PM.

When I was a small child, I stole some carob-flavored bulk dog-treats from the pet store and ate them myself.
They were actually really good.
I don't know why I'm sharing this now.Last edited by enderlord99; 2020-06-29 at 08:45 AM.
I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Re: Anonymouswizard's Random Banter #227 and Free Cup of Tea
I just realy like exploring mystical settings, figuring out what the rules are, and trying to figure out how many differant concepts you can stretch out of something.
Currently, I'm wondering if a Light Side Force Walker(a concept from Star Wars Legends, introduced in The Old Republic. Basically, some people are born with power over various types of Ghosts becuase they're a living connection between the living and dead parts of the Force. This gives them various powers) who learned the secrets of immortality(Light Side Force Ghosts, becoming one with the Force while remaining distinct from it and able to influence the world and manifest yourself) could result in someone being able to materialize their body after death to create true immortality.
I'm also wondering how far you could stretch the "apply the forms and concepts of one Bending style to improve another" thing from Avatar, which created the Lighting redirection technique.
But in general, I just like trying to figure out the rules of settings that clearly have them and give you something to work on but don't have all the rules explained.I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

Re: Anonymouswizard's Random Banter #227 and Free Cup of Tea
Well, Not had a PC shutdown since Thursday morning (touch wood) and it's been on constantly since then - notably after I changed the plug socket on the surge supressor. It's only crashed three time since midday last Monday, too (we've been logging it).
Think it seems like it's worth getting a new surge suppressor at this point.Last edited by Aotrs Commander; 2020-06-29 at 06:37 PM.

Oh, it was. I had him since I was 10. A little puppy furball. He was part of the family... like a best pal you can tell everything, and somehow feel he understands you, and shows compasion... like, he really knows what you're talking about, you know what I mean?
Alas dogs don't live as long as we do, and it's been 4 years since he's gone.
