Seems it autostartet a while after tvtyrant joined. Never done multiplayer before, sorry about that. Guess better someone else set it up before I screw up a third time.

Of course we are willing to engage in peace. I would warn you though... it is a long trek through the forests back from whence we came. And then you hit ocean. You'll want to move northwards a bit if you don't want to hit that.

Fortunately, our far-traveled scout is practiced in forest movements. There is little here in our lands to explore. Until we found you we suspected we were trapped on an island with no-one else. Our cities lie to the north near the coastline. Other than that, there is nothing but far-flung jungle that we have found.

These thrice-cursed barbarians think they can drive us from Echidna. Our forces are being mobilized as we speak to crush their pitiful rebellion.

We have also met our first two neighbors, some people calling themselves Brazilians and Romans. The Romans seem decent fellows, but we will not tolerate how close the Brazilians have settled to our jungles.

...man, I sure hate this game sometimes. "Oh, hey, my troop's escorting a settler. Let's try and kill this barbarian 2 tiles away. ...oh, it looks like clicking on that took away all of my settlers' move, unescorted it, and left it alone next to another barbarian. Thanks, game. I didn't need those 12 turns anyways."

Edit: Well... huh, guess it was just a frustratingly stressful display glitch, because everything seemed to be fixed upon my next turn. Huh.

Unfortunately, it's not exactly been safe to try and get anything, so, uh, nothing to trade.

Japan has had only one incursion thus far, though we have spotted a new encampment not far out of our borders. We have sent our finest archers to deal with the situation.

(Also, there is a large swathe of territory to my wats that I have yet to explore. It is probably going to burst with barbarians before too long.

I had five around my capital, had to outlay some capital expenses on war elephants and archers. Now I am broke.
