The masked man tries to flee into the warehouse, diving under or rolling away from the incoming attacks; But even after backflipping out of Yazuko's shuriken and spinning in the air to dodge Kimiko's multiple cuts, he doesn't move quite fast enough to get away from Emiku's and Yotsuda's combined final blow.

"Well done, kids! There's no time to lose!" Yotsuda roots, immediately grabbing the barely conscious masked man and bringing him back to the forest, leaving him where Kaede, Daro, his own shadow clone, the unnamed injured leaf jonin, Nituro and Santuro are. In a split second he teleports back to the entrance of the warehouse.

"That was excellent! Now we must think fast: I saved enough chakra to use my most powerful Genjutsu. Yazuko, you and I can do it together, I'm gonna need you to mirror my technique. The order is tiger, boar, tiger, horse, ox."

"We need Emiku's poison to work, as it will make our enemy more susceptible to illusions." He gestures towards Kimiko and Kyori. "I can close in with you to make sure we poison her, but than I can't help Yazuko; or I can wait for you to do it so Yazuko and I can activate the genjutsu immediately and at the same time."

"I don't wanna take any more risks to finish this mission, but I must hear my team."

Emilu smiles, brightning her face. She could be at a ball or court, as her clothes were pristine and her look calm.

She replies to the Jonin "I'll have my senbon ready Yotsuda-sama"

Yotsuda weights the options. "She was a jonin from the Leaf, so she's familiar with our clans' techniques. With that in mind, Emiku would be more of a wildcard. But the Green Snake is also a poison specialist, it wouldn't be wise to rely on that."

[Darkstorm]

"She has her back against the wall and she won't give up. She'll bring everything she has." Emiku says "We have the numbers advantage, but from what I recall she is good."

She looks down and murmmurs "Such a pitty... She could even be a great mentor for my poison techs..."

"Someone had to teach her what she knows." Yotsuda shrugs. "You don't need a tutor like her, Emiku. Besides, when we take her back to the Leaf, she'll gladly share with the rest of the village all sorts of toxins she has been researching as a rogue nin."

"Let's use what we know." He says in a very rational tone. "She expects Kimiko to use her Shadow Imitation Technique, so we'll give her that. I'll give you cover, Kimiko. Kyori, it might be a good idea to use the Transformation Technique to turn the needle into a copy of your weapon's pommel. Just make sure to hide the real one, or it will ruin your disguise."

"This is it. Shadows and needles, everyone." He picks up a kunai and raises his voice, speaking up to the warehouse: "This is your last warning. In the name of the Lord of Fire, surrender now."

[Izzarra]

"If she is expecting a shadow technique then we should use that knowledge to our advantage. Make a feint or a distraction with it rather then actually try to capture her."

"Good." Yotsuda takes a smoke bomb from his pouch. "Let's make it look like Kimiko's technique is gonna be our main weapon. I'll distract her, even though she already expects me to."

[dangelo]

"Now! Step back!"

Five kunai suddenly come flying from inside the warehouse, which Yotsuda and the four genin dodge with ease.
While they're still in the air, Yotsuda yells "Underground!" Just before the ground starts to shatter below each one of them.

Multiple tentacle-shaped snakes emerge from the dirt to strike them from underneath, dozens of them stretching their necks to bite and strangle each of the shinobi before they get away.

Each group of snakes is mechanically a Minion, there are five of them coming up through the ground.

The Green Snake comes running after her kunai and swiftly teleports to the top of the warehouse. Her hands transition from one hand sign to another too fast for any of the genin to follow with their eyes. She inhales deeply before raising her hand as if she was holding a bamboo to blow on a flame. Instead, of course, she spits multiple fireballs, each of them leaving large craters on the ground.

Emiku uses her umbrella to guard againt the snake, escaping it's grasp, rolling out as the explosions roil near her.

The red of the hair, of the dress and of fire mix, as she looks at the older woman as a perfect would be sensei - in a different world. She had the same affinity, and her techs were pretty... Beauty should always be a part of techs.

But the Green Snake had become evil, and that was something Emiku couldn't forgive. Betrayal of the loved ones, of her land. Emiku and only Emiku knew what it was to be without a land. To be the last of a clan.

When she finishes the roll, she picks a green Senbon and throws it directly at the woman, trying to use the opportunity granted by Yotsuda.

It’s surprisingly easy to orient herself within the smoke cloud, and she bee-lines toward Emi, who already has a hand behind her back, holding out the senbon for Kyori to borrow. They move in tandem, Emi rolling one way while Kyori moves the other, and they release their senbon at nearly the same time.

Kyori employs some mild sleight of hand, first making sure that Matsumoto caught the glint of the pommel in Kyori’s podao, then, instead of pulling it out to throw, using a Transformation to alter her weapon to make it look like she did, while simultaneously drawing attention away from the senbon in her other hand.

She makes to throw the illusory ball, but then throws the senbon at an angle that would hopefully cover an attempt to escape the fake.

Yotsuda uses Extra Effort to get an extra standard action. He uses it to Ready an action: team up with Yazuko to cast a genjutsu the very second Matsumoto is poisoned.

When his team mates start attacking Yazuko jump back a bit to ready his genjutsu while the others weaken matsumoto. This was his chance if Emiku's poison has taken affect then matsumoto was weakened against his genjutsu. He joined in with Yotsuda so that together they could hopefully take out Matsumoto.

The Green Snake avoids the multiple dark tentacles with grace, spinning on her landing: With her left hand and a sarcastic smile, she grabs Emiku's needle in the air before it hits her, and opens her right hand to simply parry or capture the pommel. It's then that things get blurry.

Matsumoto's eyes widen when she realizes that the pommel was actually a poisoned needle, and that it was sticking out of her hand. The toxin was certainly already flowing through her veins.

Yotsuda and Yazuko activate the genjutsu:
It doesn't work.

Matsumoto's hand moves so fast that it's hard to understand what she's doing; a second later it's clear what happened.

She's holding her signature wave-bladed kunai in her left hand. Her right hand is on the floor, separated from her arm, which now ends in a bloody wrist.

She looks at her enemies trying to bring that sarcastic smile back, which makes her look intense or even mad.
"Do you call yourself shinobi, children?" She says, raising her voice by the word, showing the kids her clean-cut wrist bones.
"You are weak. The Leaf is weak." Her reduced arm was shaking from the pain, but it only made her look more fervid.

She throws her kunai at Kyori, reaching for something else in her pouch.
Meanwhile, the remaining groups of snakes strike again.

She tries to move but the snake around her limits her movements. Looking at Matsumoto, hand cut, and still grinning she felt goosebumps running down her spine. This had to be over.

She starts the seals - snake, tiger, snake, bird, boar, tiger - quickly infusing her hand full of fire chakra. She then sees a fire flower start to form, but it fades...

Damn... I almost had it... she scowls in frustation... Ninjutsu wasn't her forte still... She had to try more...

She looks at the Green Snake and says "Ah, My ultimate technique worked!!"

Kyori spends about a third of a second processing what just happened, before the kunai flying at her face snaps her to attention. She quickly deflects it off her blade, continuing with the momentum to redirect a snake’s attack around her. She smirks.

Is jail that bad in Konoha or did you actually think you’d be doing something by crippling yourself?

She doesn’t catch the snake on the rebound, though, and it weighs her down atop much to engage. Frustrated, she grabs another handful of needles and moves back.

Yazuko is stuck in place from all the snakes snakes around him. He frantically tries to hit them away but it's no use.

"It'll take more than just a bunch of snakes to take me out of the fight" Yazuko says once he regains his composer.

Yazuko uses the opportunity provided by Yotsuda to throw shurikens at Matsumoto before trying to attack with genjutsu again.

There are just too many snakes, and more of them come every time one is destroyed. Kyotri, who's not pinned down by them, manages to get closer to Kimiko.

Matsumoto spins in the air with grace, avoiding every single one of Kyori's needles and using them to parry Yazuko's shuriken - all of this while enduring excruciating pain from Yazuko's genjutsu assault. In the end, she holds her wrist in her only hand to keep herself from bleeding out.

"Don't patronize me, Leaf." She says with triumph, thick drops of sweat now visible under her rogue nin forehead protector. "It's a shame that your village gets to waste such a good talent." Her attention is caught by Emiku;

"With thar hair... you're from the Uzumaki clan, aren't you? I though the Leaf had managed to slaughter you all after backstabbing the whole clan over power. Has no one ever told you how unwelcome you are at your own village?"

"Shame. It's a shame. You're good with poisons, girl. You could be with us, here. Have you imagined? You could be the next Green Snake."

Meanwhile, Kyori's senses are suddenly stormed by numerous genin trios and their sensei finally approaching the warehouse - but there's something more. Something weird, different. Someone she doesn't know, or at least have never met, is among those people.

Matsumoto will use Extra Effort to ready two actions, and is now Exhausted. She's making hand seals.

"Kyori...! Did you notice that?" Yotsuda asks, his byakugan certainly keeping him updated about those strange chakra signatures too.

Then:

"What happened with your fireballs?" He yells before dashing after Matsumoto and engaging in hand to hand combat with her. The Snake was ready and manages to parry some of his precise attacks, even though Yotsuda's style is clearly superior. She moves constantly to keep the skirmish short, as a prolonged exchange of blows would absolutely favor the Gentle Fist.

Yotsuda moves towards Matsumoto and attacks her, which triggers her readied defense.
Then he uses Extra Effort again to get an extra action, and delays the rest of his turn to join a Team Attack.

Yotsuda is exhausted.

The snakes attack again: after grabbing their targets they start to bite. Although they're not venomous, their teeth certainly hurt.

She looks at the woman and becomes angered "You don't know what you're talking about. I'm from the leaf, and the leaf is part of me, of what the Uzumakis were."

She throws the poisoned needle and grabs another and throws it again almost in a Flash, making it travel in the first one shadow. A single motion. In it her anger and her strength - the spirit of fire.

She kneels slightly, her body showing symptoms of Emiku's blue poison. "You will never develop your abilities in the Leaf. Maybe in the old days you would, when Nidaime-sama was in charge. But no, not anymore. You have potential, and your place is with us. The Leaf will discard you as soon as you stop being useful as they did with your parents and their parents too. We can set you free of these chains."
