Vincent Van Gough. I used to get it all the time when I was in hospitality. There's that one one selfie he did with the blue background where he looks particularly haggard and like maybe he hadn't slept in several weeks. That's me to a tee pretty much all the time. But without the talent.

When I lived in Uganda, I got told I looked like practically every famous young adult white male you could think of. Because people of an ethnic group you're unfamiliar with all look alike.

Including [major bearded longhaired religious figure often portrayed as white] if I'd been lax about keeping hair and beard trim. And quite a few footballers.

On the other hand, my wife tells me I look like squidward.

2. Why yes, if that days drive includes a 6 hour airplane ride That is Cape Perpetua, it is one of the more famous views in Oregon (not Crater Lake or Mt Hood but still pretty up there.)

Edit: My entire life I thought Alabama was landlocked, just realized you have a coast on the gulf. Amazing the things as an American I don't know, like why Florida takes most of your coast line when it has a perfectly good rest of the state for that.

It's an extremely easy hike, about 1,200 ft up over a mile from the base, but I damaged my knee in June and my friends stopped exercising when quarantine hit so it was about what we could collectively manage.

Oregon is the most beautiful place I have ever been. I say this not boastfully, the staggering imagery speaks for itself.

It's just full of Oregonians, is the thing. Politely sullen is the best way to describe the native culture, it just takes a bit for people moving in to realize the frost behind the smiles.
