I've been told that I look like Sean Bean if Sean happened to be missing a quarter of his face. The person in question wasn't trying to be offensive. They genuinely meant it as a compliment since I had said my issues make me look like no one.

I suppose "half-an-eye Sean Bean" isn't too shabby.

Let's see... When I was about 10 years old and The Wonder Years was on TV people I used to hear that I looked like Fred Savage.

As I got older and grew a beard and made the mistake of wearing a sweater to school I was told I looked like the character of Al Borland from the Home Improvement TV show.

When I started to shave my head due to balding issues and had no beard I was compared to Uncle Fester and Shrek. I grew back the beard now so hopefully I resemble no one special now lol.

I fail to see why that would have been a bad thing.

Well... I guess because he wasn't a "cool" character. He was very straight-laced and boring from what I can recall and I didn't want to be associated with that personality.

But Al Borland is also good looking and rugged, so maybe it was meant as a compliment?

I was mostly joking; I understand why some would mock that, but for reals, Al was the best character in the show.

Maaaaaaybe second best, Wilson is the only one who could give Al a run for his money. In fact, that may be too close to call.

Rugged, has a fairly high-paying job which actually gives him a lot of free time, is incredibly skilled at construction and home improvement, is kind, generous, caring, empathetic, and loyal. Dude is the total package!

    Wilson FTW!

I can guarantee it was not meant to be a flattering compliment .

I apparently don't look like anybody famous when I have a beard.

Anytime I shave, I get compared to either Edward Snowden or John Green.

Which one am I, living secretly in hiding behind all these whiskers? We may never know.

I've been told I look like Tim Robbins (which I think is a huge stretch), a black-haired Matt Damon (which is much closer to the mark), and Herman Munster (which is... not entirely unfair).

Then again, that was a long time ago, before I gained a lot of weight and got lots of gray hairs. Now, I guess I look like... a gray-haired, overweight Matt Damon with shades of Herman Munster?

Well... I don't look quite that much like my father...

But pretty much anyone could see a picture of him and one of me and immediatelty guess we're closely related. Specially if it's an older picture of his, from when he was around my age.

Let's see... offhand, I've been told Johnny Depp, John Lennon (towards the end?!), Charles Manson, Rob Zombie, Jesus, and Jimmi Hendrix.

I've also been told that I sound like Ed Kemper as portrayed in Mindhunter. I believe this was meant to be a compliment?
