    Once he sees the forces in the arena, Qaba pulls Jiro back from the hallway, motioning for the Hand to pull back as well, so that no one in the arena sees them.

    He describes the physical layout and the enemy they face as he explains the situation to the others, drawing a crude map in the dust on the floor. "Two Psy warriors on towers. A handful of clerics helping the wounded, and perhaps a dozen soldiers. The Giant's oily tracks exit on the opposite side. Our hallway enters into a pit. The walls will slow us but will help hide our approach. Even with the 6 or 7 tents, it's not perfect cover so they might discover us at any time. I suggest we sneak in one or two at a time and then go for the corners of this pit. Then the spell casters can create diversions while we climb out and try to take out the Psy warriors first, then the clerics."

    I suggest we move out starting with highest stealth to lowest, letting the previous person get up the wall before the next one goes in.

    I'd suggest Bontar, Hand and Zantos go to the wall by the tent in order to engage the two magma clerics.

    Then Qoh, Lazaar, Greven, Faldar, Ptekme, Qaba, Jiro split up, half to the north corner and half to the south one to take out the Psy warriors on the towers.

    I'm open to any other ideas too.

    Greven and the prophets surveyed from the reclusive safety of the shadows. The emissary listened to the mercenaries concept of how to engage the pit. It did seem a lot of risk. However, full assaults on the tent camp would prove futile and waste resources.

    "If we could set fire to the encampment and open the gates, we would do our cause some good. Few towns survive siege and fire at the same time. This arena would fare the same."

    Bob's plan sounds decent. The prophets can contribute subterfuge by using minor illusion and mold earth as distractions. Both spells, while somatic, are short ranged (30ft). Anything else would require verbal components.

    That said, torching the tents would make their plight more pronounced. Greven could potentially mind control a ganger to open the gates via Suggestion, though preferably a weak-willed one (e.g. not a cleric).

    The elves move forward into the lower pit until they get to the wall. While they go, Zantos uses minor illusion to create distracting noises that sound like far away combat and explosions, the noises continue while he casts his next spells.

    While they wait for the others, Zantos makes an illusion of a fire creature just south of the tent that is south of the two magma clerics. He has the creature walk into the tent, complete with temporary burning flames. He then drops the illusion makes the tent erupt in actual flames.

    If they make it to the wall unnoticed, Jiro and Qaba wait hidden until the others arrive.

    Qaba casts levitate on himself, rising up to just below the top of the wall.

    Thankful for the breather, Faldar listens to Zantos and just nods at his plan. Since enlisting him and his crew, Faldar's really starting to appreciate the elf's keen strategic mind and his ability to take the initiative. Bontar looks at him silently, not really sending any message, just waiting on the signal to go smash killers.

    "Go for it, Zantos. We'll follow."

    With that, the group quickly follows Zantos outside in a stealthely fashion.

    The phantom sounds of combat don't seem to distract the clerics much - they merely blend into the very real sounds of combat coming from beyond the walls. Even the bellowing of Grump the giant, followed by several smashing sounds. Korno if they're lucky.

    Everyone begins to move up. When the phantom fire elemental passes into the tent and it catches fire, one of the clerics rushes in. The other, however, turns around just in time to see Qoheleth moving up towards the wall behind everyone else. "Wha- there's someone here!" he hollers, alerting the others.

    The elves all climb the last bit over the ledge of the first wall and commence their attack. Before jumping over the edge, Qaba lets Faldar know his recommendations. "First the two on the towers. We're going for the one on the right first. Then the clerics. We'll keep moving forward as long as we can. Good luck, sir."

    They all concentrate their bow attacks on the northern Psi Warrior on the elevated platform. After shooting, each of them ducks behind the nearest tents for cover.

    With Zantos's clear directions, Faldar quickly moves up while blasting the same guy in the tower. When he glances over his shoulder to see wat his companions are doing, he grimaces. Bontar has taken on an almost maniacal grin and seems focused on the other tower. He starts running forward, seemingly charging the tower. After only several ft he seems to .... lose shape somehow. His body starts flowing with energy and suddenly he shoots up towards the tower and towards the enemy psiwarrior. Faldar just blinks, before concentrating on ducking behind the tent. "What on Athas is he doing.. .. Bontar old friend, you keep amazing me."

    Close to him, very little reaction is coming from Ptekme, who spots an opportunity to stab one of the clerics in the near future. He quickly moves up.

    Springing to action, the elves skillfully scamper up the uneven walls, making use of its many hand and footholds. They unleash a volley of arrows, two thudding into the back of the northern psi warrior overlooking everything from above. One target down, Qaba fires one at the southern psi warrior instead. The arrow whizzes by his head, and he spins around in time to see Bontar sailing at him at the speed of an arrow in flight. He ducks, the dwarven gladiator's kick swinging over his head as the momentum dies and Bontar lands next to his target.

    As the psi warrior prepares his orb to strike back with psionics, Faldar's psionic blast sails past the railing at the edge of the watchtower and hits him in the gut, knocking the wind out of his lungs. Out past the psion, Bontar can see a battle raging beyond the wall between their forces and the Killers. The Killers appear to be losing in spite of their numbers, many of their poorly armed and armored rabble scattered around bleeding out. He can hear Grump's roars and the impacts of his great weapon to the north, out of view, hopefully in the midst of fighting Korno.

    Climbing quietly up next to Jiro behind one of the tents, Ptekme lurks in wait of an opportunity, remaining hidden from view. His shell's color instinctively mimics the stone of the arena, making him even harder to detect. Hand cares less for subtlety, swinging up next to Zantos and swerving around the tent to scale the next in turn, taking cover behind the burning tent.

    Greven and Lazaar watch the cavalcade unfold. They mentally sync their actions, firing psionic spikes and blasts of fire to increase the internal confusion. The emissary sought to drop one of the clerics swiftly, while his master continued the destruction of the camp. If they could press the foes into the open, then they would deal with them in a blast of arcane and wilder fury.

    Meanwhile, Qoh stood flatfooted in the sand. He cursed the malign twist of the silt that bore him into the open before the team could position closer to the foes.

    Qoh makes like a stick in the mud and stands out.

    Greven casts mind sliver 2x on the magma cleric in the near open. DC 13 Int save vs (1d6)[5] psychic and - (1d4)[3] to following save, followed by another Int save vs (1d6)[2] psychic and - (1d4)[2] to next save.

    Lazaar casts fire bolt on the front hatch of the big tent with the three occupants in the far lower left of the map. (1d20+5)[16] for (1d10)[6] fire damage. Distant raze along the rim of the spike pit.

    As Greven's mental assault attempts to take hold, the magma cleric flinches, then repels his intrusion with a willful mental shove. The cleric quickly stops using mundane healing and casts a spell to get the gladiatrix next to him off the ground, then hops down to confront Greven. Behind him, a blast of flame sails past and ignites the flaps of one of the tents, making a hazard for those trying to exit.

    The magma cleric sticks the landing and moves inside of the tent Greven is taking cover behind. Another emerges up top from the tent Zantos set alight, this one noticing the Hand. He steps forward and strikes with his quarterstaff using both hands, which the Hand catches on his wrist with no signs of discomfort.


    Upon the southern tower overlooking the arena, Bontar's opponent sets his fists together and casts a now-familiar spell, a barrier of rippling frost spreading out over him much like Zantos' favored defense. At the same time, a targeting spell marks him with several dark halos of shadow energy, through which a psionic bolt sails. He steps out of the way just in time, the aura of the blast as it passes greying his skin slightly for but a moment.

    Climbing higher and seeking new cover, the elves loose a volley of shots at the fire cleric as they move. Only Jiro's shot connects, sticking into the cleric's bare suntanned chest, but one of Qaba's arrows finds its way into the fallen dwarf.

    Conjuring a flame in his hand, the cleric hurls it into the air. It sails like a meteorite down and strikes Jiro from above, searing his shoulder. After loosing his spell, the cleric drops down to avoid future volleys. "Keep in cover! They got archers all over the place!" Behind him, the elves' keen eyes can see the glow of more healing magic getting Killers back in the fight. A second cleric of flame runs past, into one of the upper tents.

    As the cleric casts his spell, Bontars eyes open wide. Then he grins a cunning smile, obviously aware of what the cleric is doing. He let's loose a loud, growling shout as he let's his inner rage come to the surface and shoves the cleric hard. "WHRAAAGHH!!"

    As the dwarfs shout crosses the grounds, Ptekme spots an opportunity. He sprints forward to sink his claws into the cleric that is in combat with Hand. He clicks to him in thrikreen. "Good fellow-without-a-tribe, easy chopping, the soft prey is." After which he tries to get out of sight. "Get him!" Faldar shouts, while he moves to Ptekme's last spot. Quickly he scans and surveys the battlefield, realising things are going better then he expected. Quickly he adds a mindblast to the mix of fighting and death around him.

    Qoheleth surges up the silt hill and fires with his stonebow toward the cleric in the open. He then weaves back into cover to reload.

    Greven and Lazaar begin to fire arcane blasts, alternating fire and necrotic claws. The wilder looses one charge, while holding another in wait for the next fool to try to rise from their concealment. The defiler instead continues to feed the conflagration, seeking to roast the occupants before they can escape into the open. Fear is a potent tool, and confusion is its clutch mate. Fire births both.

    Qoh takes out his stonebow and shoots at the cleric between Hand and Ptemke. [roll]1d20+3z[/roll] for (1d4+1)[4] bludgeoning.

    Greven BA casts Chill Touch on the cleric between the thrikreen. [roll]1d20+5z[/roll] for (1d8)[8] necrotic. Cannot regain HP on a hit.
    Readies Chill Touch for the next ganger to rise from the prone. [roll]1d20+5z[/roll] for (1d8)[4] necrotic. Cannot regain HP on a hit.

    Lazaar casts fire bolt on the front hatch of the big tent with the two occupants in the far upper left of the map. [roll]1d20+5z[/roll] for (1d10)[5] fire damage. Distant raze along the rim of the spike pit.

    Qoh and Lazaar move out and back in their movements between old and new positions (yes, the dray do a serpentine). This should grant them open fields of fire before relocating into cover.

    Grabbing hold of the dwarven psion, Bontar hurls him violently over the railing. The other dwarf hollers out before silencing as he impacts the ground with a dull thud. He lay there, winded and prone, trying to catch his breath - but the icy barrier has dampened the fall, and saved his life. Bontar takes cover behind the railings of the watchtower to make himself a harder target.

    Below, he can see a gladiator with a blade in hand cut his way free from the burning tent below, the smoke wafting up to sting at Bontar's eyes. The warrior is covered in fresh wounds, only some of which has healed, and he is getting his shield back on.

    Three other humans beneath him on all sides wind up their slings above them, hurling stones at him. Both projectiles plink off of the stone frame of the tower. The psions join in, the one he dunked off of the roof crawling to his feet and staggering back. But even their psionic bolts only leave chipped marks upon the stone.

    Behind him, Bontar can hear the sound of footsteps slapping against the stone steps leading up to the stands and wall, more gangers running up.


    Lunging up to close the gap, Ptekme lands on the opposite side of the Hand from the cleric. He bites into the back of the man's neck, causing him to howl, and rakes claws down his back. As Ptekme rips out some flesh, Faldar's bolt of psionic energy slams into the man from the side, leaving him slumped against the slowly burning tent. The Hand makes a human nodding gesture at Ptekme and responds, "Skillful takedown." He slips past Ptekme and descends upon the fallen gladiatrix with both claws; the other kreen seems reluctant to use his mandibular bite against humans, from what Ptekme has seen, only having used it against the Boneclaw. Nonetheless, he swiftly and skillfully dispatches the woman back into the dark.

    Qoheleth lobs a stone up at the cleric draped against the tent, clobbering him in the chest. Greven moves around the other side of the tent, gathering necrotic power in preparation. Lazaar's flames miss their target this time, scattering against the stone walls.

    Stepping back out of the tent in the midst of the warband, a cleric of magma gathers a smouldering molten sphere that glows with fierce firelight, molding it between his hands and then hurling it at Faldar. The orb impacts, scalding him and scorching the front of his regal, noble robes.

    (Offhand attack has no ability bonus, and should only be one unless I'm missing a class feature, and it takes the bonus action; think you mixed it up with 3.5 full attack there)
    Faldar blasts Fire Cleric for 10 damage, a KO.

    Qoh's shot hits the Fire Cleric, dealing a failed death save. They are very poorly equipped in most departments, including armor, and slumping against the tent kept him from Proning.
    I'll have Greven ready the first Chilled Touch instead (not like the extra rolled well).
    Lazaar casts Firebolt, but his spell goes wide this time.

    Killers Gladiator cuts a new way out of the burning tent.

    The Hand claws Killers Gladiatrix twice, dealing 7 and 4 to return her to the blissful darkness of KO.

    The pain of the flame sears Faldar, and he finds his mind slip, a small moment of weakness. In a moment of panic he struggles, clawing at the vestiges of the mental link to Grump, and manages to get a hold of something. Some dangling thread of thought that enables him to regain his grip on the giant's mind.

    The elves move up, their arrows sailing true. Two of them take down the cleric who struck Faldar with the molten bolt, and Qaba's keen eye shoots the prone fire cleric in the shoulder despite the hard target.

    Hurting badly from the bolt, and cursing himself for nearly losing concentration, Faldar blasts the downed fire cleric, after which he tries to get out of sight and heals himself a little bit.

    Ptekme stabs the downed cleric next to him, to finish him off, after which he stealthily makes his way towards another tent, waiting for his next opportunity to pounce.

    Bontar is about to jump, when he realises the barrage that is hitting the tower. He quickly shows himself to throw a javelin, before ducking back down.

    The prophets advanced, seeking to drive a space for the mercenaries to continue forward. Qoheleth bites the magma cleric on his way forward before casting toll the dead on the downed fire cleric.

    Lazaar moves to shelter against a rise in the terrain. He extends his hands, causing an eruption of thunder at the base of the far tower. He sought bring down the watch tower upon his foes while inflicting ashen land upon his other foes.

    Greven invokes his burgeoning powers, conjuring warped beasts of horn and claw. "Slay the foes!"

    Two great horned monsters charged forth, goring gangers to the left and right of the tent ahead of their master. A smaller, fierce beast follows the greater creatures, seeking to devour the downed.

    Lazaar cast Shatter on the upper watch tower's lower left corner, which should radiate downward to hit two of the gangers. DC 13 Con save: (3d8)[17] thunder damage. Save for half. Objects take this damage as well. Distant raze on the left side of the tent (marked on map).

    Qoh BA bites the magma cleric on his way forward. (1d20+2)[15] for two death save fails (edit: advantage roll is 11). Cast toll the dead on the downed fire cleric. DC 12 Wis or take the death save fails home ruled for the spell.

    Greven activates Warped Servants: Conjured two Giant Elks and a badger. Marked initial positions in the spoiler for them. BA commands the creatures to advance and attack the foes.

    Assaulting the fire cleric dangling just over the edge of the ledge, Faldar inflicts some more blunt force trauma to the head with a blast of psionic force. Falling back into the cover of the tent, he tries to mend his wounds. But his head is still spinning, making it difficult to focus - the healing light only seems to numb the pain.

    Sliding a claw across the throat of the cleric fallen against the burning tent, Ptekme glides across this tier of the arena, sliding into hiding against the next wall. Qoheleth joins his march, the prophet leaning down and carefully lifting his veil to seemingly take a chunk out of the dying priest, leaving tooth marks like those of a beast - a strange and frightful sight that both Faldar and Zantos witness. Afterwards he climbs up after the others and tolls the death bell of the other cleric, hanging limply from the next tier as his body goes pale.


    Popping out only for a moment, Bontar hurls his javelin down at the badly hurt dwarven psion. Before he can catch his breath, the javelin strikes him from above, pinning him to the ground where he passes out from the shock. Across from him, at the other tower, a resounding boom explodes. The fallen dwarf atop it tumbles down as a corner of the stone edifice crumbles, sending him flopping down onto the wall below. Rubble and waves of bursting sound rain down upon those below.

    Footsteps behind Bontar announce the two gangers arriving at the ladder up to the tower he's in.


    Then, everything takes an entirely new level of strange. Greven's body crackles with blue light and psionic rifts tear open, shifting and molding into the shapes of strange otherworldly beasts, two of them hulking monsters that tower over the tents next to them. The Killers, no doubt ****ting their pants, stare at the monsters in terror. One of them is so large that it can't help but be seared by the flames of the burning tent as it appears, but they barely seem to phase it.

    One of them slams its horns into the gladiator who'd just emerged from his tent, driving him down into the ground. The other, attempting to follow Greven's orders, charges towards the edge of the tier and leaps upwards towards the wall. But one of its hooves slips on a patch of ground and it falls into a somewhat embarrassing position, its horns caught between the parapets of the wall, hind legs clinging to the raised arena floor and scrambling for purchase, and forelimbs dangling beneath it trying to clatter against the wall.

    A second gladiator stumbles out of the tent, blade in his hand, staring up at the monster. His face is sickly, and he looks nauseous as the ground beneath him gloams in shades of ash. A weak thrust up at the beast does little damage, but the man stands a little straighter, face grim and serious.

    Under cover of the strange and terrible sights, a tinier creature, blue light crackling in its fearsome little eyes, takes the role of throat cutter and ends the life of the bleeding dwarf upon the upper layer.


    Once the initial shock wears off, combat is joined again. Clamboring up the next wall, the Hand enters the doorway of the second upper tent, trapping its occupants within. The slingers and stonebowdwarf focus their fire on the trapped, horned beast, pelting its massive form with stones. Another dwarf takes out a club and strikes it upon the head from the wall above, the large bone club cracking it across the head and leaving trails of glowing blue liquid running out.

    One of the magma's faithful drops down next to Bontar's foe, pulling the javelin free and mending the wound shut. Blinking awake, the psion fires a blast at Bontar, then falls back into the cover of the arena gate's tunnel to regain his bearings. The one near the other watchtower blasts the giant beast, then falls back out of view as well.

    Lazaar casts Shatter. The Psi Warrior and Human Rabble both save for half, taking 8 damage and Bloodying them. The unconscious Psi Warrior takes 2 failed death saves, one from the spell and one from the fall. Hex breaks on Bontar.
    Qoheleth bites Magma Cleric for two failed death saves, then casts Toll the Dead, executing the downed Fire Cleric.
    Greven summons two Giant Elks and a Badger.
    Giant Elk 1 rams Killers Gladiator. It doesn't have enough wind up speed for a charge, so it deals only 16 damage, which still KOs.
    Giant Elk 2 takes 5 fire damage as it appears, then attempts to charge and ram the psion on the wall. It fails an Athletics check to get the necessary height, ending up stuck in an awkward position. It will need to attempt an Athletics check (DC 12) to get free without hurting itself on its next turn.
    (I think the sheer size of these towering elk may have been underestimated )
    Badger executes Dwarf Rabble.

    The fire spreads on the upper tent, burning Human Rabble for 5 and Bloodying him.

    Killers Gladiator hits Giant Elk 1 for 8 damage, then uses Second Wind to heal himself for 7.

    Human Rabble hits Giant Elk with a sling bullet for 5 damage.

    Qaba floats easily up to the next level, moving forward and drawing two arrows. They fly over the battlefield, one whizzing by the dwarf and slashing his hear, just inches from a kill shot. The other he angles upwards, and a little to the side. It flies up, then comes down and sticks into the psion lying on the wall.

    Zantos takes a shot, but overshoots, his arrow sailing over the wall as he moves up into new cover.

    Shifting position to climb higher as well, Jiro finds his angles at the pair to be less than ideal, instead taking a quick shot with his shortbow which strikes the slinger in the chest as he's reloading, sending him to the floor. Then, the tent next to him lights up with a flash of fire, sweeping and burning through one side. The Hand recoils in the flap of the tent, as the flames scorch his chitin, and the trapped giant beast is burned away in a flash of blue light and sparkling motes that float in the air, then vanish.

    The next time Bontar comes up to throw a javelin, his eyes bulge at the sudden sight of a very strange, giant elk. He sighs in relief though, as it seems to be fighting the killers. He grabs his maul and moves over to the ladder, preparing to smash any killer when they try and come up.

    Viewing the battlefield, feels very happy with the prophets on their side. With a single .... spell? they've changed the flow a lot. Possibly giving them the upper hand. He himself can't risk any more hits though, as Korno hasn't even been spotted yet. Planning ahead for that encounter, Faldar shouts in the general direction of Ptekme's possible location. "Go and support Bontar. We need him in good health!" While moving, he tries to set the tent near Jiro on fire with sacred flame.

    Ptekme runs across the field, ducking from cover to cover, before hiding once again.

    The prophets and their summoned monstrosities press toward the higher terraces. The badger seeks out the foes struggling for life, seeking to rake their throats. The elk hammers away at the ganger at hand. Lazaar conserved a flaming bolt for the lurking psion. Greven meanwhile hurls sickly claws from the Grey. Qoh goes for a mercy kill, while he also channels the Grey to end a priest.

    Giant Elk 2 (upper): RIP. You served your purpose. As to size, I didn't think to check whether huge or large; however, I wasn't aware of the terrain of the arena imposed a significant disadvantage for a huge creature to maneuver worse than the short legged medium folks.

    Badger moves up to downed rabble. Advantage maul: (1d20+2)[14] (1d20+2)[19] and take two death save fails on a hit.

    Standing menacingly at the top of the ladder, readies his maul to strike anyone stupid enough the climb up. One of the men tries it, and gets clobbered in the face, falling down off of the ladder and landing on his back.

    Some of the men below hurl stones at him, chipping against the stone parapets of his tower perch. One of them bounces off of the rock and clips him in the shoulder, but it doesn't have much force left behind it at that point.

    The other man at the base of the tower thinks better of climbing. Slipping his club back into his belt look, he takes a pelota out of a bag and loads it into his dejada glove. The hurled, spiked ball rebounds off of the stone, missing Bontar.


    Calling down a gleaming ember from the sky, Faldar launches it through the sloped cloth of the tent near Jiro. He hears someone call out from inside; it seems his blind fire managed to strike one of the Killers, the cloth of the tent doing little to protect her. Meanwhile, Ptekme moves across the arena, low to the ground, camouflage blending easily into the earthen floor.

    Skeletal hands grasp and throttle the foe near Greven's elk, which takes the opportunity to gore the man. As the spectral grip disappears, he falls to the cursed ground alongside his comrade. The badger crawls up to another fallen Killer, raking claws into flesh.

    Qoheleth executes another in similar bloody fashion with his sharp teeth, then climbs up to the next tier of the arena. The last of the clerics is beyond his sight, hidden beneath the ledge leading down into the lower tier. The tip of the dwarven psion's head, however, is just within his sights as the dwarf tries to take cover inside of the tunnel. The bell tolls, and the dwarf falls to the ground as though he were a puppet whose strings have been cut. One of the dwarves on the wall fires a bullet from his stonebow, which impacts the ground next to Qoheleth, kicking up arena sand into his face.

    Above, a badly wounded killer starts to hobble along the wall looking for an opening with his sling. As he moves out of cover, Lazaar's keen eyes detect weakness and launch a globe of fire that takes him down in a flare of light.

    A second dwarf stonebowman on the wall fires in the general direction of Lazaar and Qaba, but the stone flies far off course. There is a small spark from below as the cleric tries to scorch the monster elk and his spell all but fizzles, then fleeing footsteps as he runs out through the tunnel.

    Stepping briefly out of cover, the last psi warrior above hurls a psionic bolt that slams into the side of Jiro's head like a haymaker. The dwarf smirks, then falls back into cover behind the tower.

    Faldar casts Sacred Flame on the tent. It actually manages to damage the Killers Gladiatrix inside for 6 in addition to starting a very small fire, Bloodying her.
    Ptekme moves unseen.

    Greven casts two Chill Touches, hitting with one for 8 damage. I'm not sure if he means the magma cleric, but that guy's got full cover from the angle of the terrain, so I'll direct it at the Gladiator who is Bloodied now.
    Giant Elk gores Killers Gladiator for 12, which is a KO after Greven's cantrip.
    Qoheleth doesn't have LoS to the Magma Cleric from there, but he does have LoS to the top of the castled Psi Warrior's head. I'll assume you want him dead, and the damage drops him after he fails his save.
    (I'll change Lazaar's readied action to target any enemy that moves into his sights)

    The Hand claws Fire Cleric for a 5 damage hit, and then a miss.

    Human Rabble triggers the readied Firebolt and gets dropped.
    Human Rabble hits Bontar with a sling for 4 damage, 2 after resistance.
    Human Rabble misses Bontar.
    Dwarven Thug fires at Qaba, but misses.
    Dwarven Thug fires at Qoheleth, dealing 3 damage.
    Killers Ganger attempts to climb the ladder, and gets wasted for a OHKO, then takes a failed death save from the fall.

    Magma Cleric hits Giant Elk with Produce Flame for 1 damage, then retreats into the tunnel.

    It seems like the multi-leveled terrain in 2d is confusing some people in regards to angles and such, so I'll try to keep it simpler in the future. Sorry to those whose actions keep getting lost or altered in the confusion.

    The giant elk #2 did have a good chance to jump up to the wall that a smaller creature wouldn't, it just biffed an Athletics check pretty hard and fell into a space too small for it.

    Floating up alongside the tower, Qaba steps onto it and fires down at the thug below. He ducks behind the parapet, Qaba's arrow slicing past his bald head and leaving a red streak across the scalp. Further down the wall, two arrows from his companions sink into the flesh of the other dwarf, dropping him down to the stone. Jiro's word of magic fills him with a refreshing sensation, like cool rain pouring down his face, as his wounds start to close.

    Within the burning tent, the Hand hisses in pain as the spreading flames start to drop burning fabric and cough sparks out onto his back. He ducks around a clumsy swing from the flame shaman inside with ease, but is starting to look quite worse for wear.

    Ptekme's way forward is blocked by the giant elk. And the moat behind the towers isn't helping much either. He decides on doing what Kreen do. He starts passed the giant elk and jumps onto the raised platform behind the towers, almost charging the gangster that is looking up at Bontar and catching him by surprise. He claws and bites at him.

    Seeing his ferocious companion attack the remaining ganger, Bontar heaves his maul high andjumps down the 10 ft, while shouting: "GO DIE!!" and recklessly brings his maul down at the ganger.

    Faldar quietly moves up a little, seeking cover behind the slope.

    To make the diagonal leap, he needs 20 ft horizontal and 10 ft up. I'm hoping to make that with his 40 ft movement.
    Not sure if jumping removes his stealth, but the ganger seems focused on Bontar any way.

    Lazaar advanced, with Greven rejoining him. The pair slung spells at the centralized foes, scanning the structures for a means to cross. They tucked into the outcropping, seeking cover against return missiles and psionics. Meanwhile, Qoh moved forward, assisting the warped creature he assumed Greven unleashed to kill the downed foes. He fired spells, leery to be caught out in the open and without a clear means to cross the trench.

    The elk leaped in an effort to marshal momentum. The great beast sought to drive its horns into the foe, pressing them into the ground.

    Now more wary than ever of losing control of his psionic link to the giant, Faldar remains at the rear, the sting of his burn wounds still fresh in his mind. The two badly burned tents finally collapse into smouldering piles of burned cloth.

    Bracing his clawed foot against the corner of the ledge, Ptekme leaps onto the wall to the surprise of the man tossing stones at Bontar. The kreen grabs onto him and bites onto his face, ripping off part of his cheek. As he screams and clutches the wound, Bontar drops from above and slams him into the ground, where he lies unconscious and bleeding. The pair of slingers on the wall fling stones at them that fly over their heads.

    Holding an arcane flame in his hand, Lazaar reaches out into the earth, poisoning it deeper within the tunnel. But peering down at the entrance of the tunnel, the legs of the fallen dwarf do not move. Beside him, Greven approaches, reaching out with a pair of spectral hands that sail past and grasp at the dwarven stonebowman. He bats one of them aside with the butt of his bow, but the second grabs him by the throat and dark veins spread out from the point of contact, leaving him gasping.

    Beside Jiro, a javelin stabs through the tent fabric and the gladiatrix inside kicks her way free of the burning fabric. She spots Jiro and makes a panicked jab with her dagger, but he swerves out of the way skillfully.

    Stepping forward to find the badger gnawing rather ineffectually at the fallen human, Qoheleth leans down to finish the job instead. With stoic ease, he tolls the bell and the half-dead dwarven thug up on the wall falls over. A bolt of psionic energy casts up a cloud of sand as it strikes near his feet.

    Greven's giant elk, unfortunately, slips on the poisoned earth and falls into the same awkward position as its twin.

    Badger fails to execute its target, so Qoheleth does.
    Qoheleth casts Toll the Dead, dealing 2 damage to Dwarven Thug, dealing a KO.
    Giant Elk falls into the gap and gets stuck, just like his buddy. I guess they both skipped gym class. This also traps it in a Defiled space, taking a level of Exhaustion.

    The Hand uses Lay on Hands on himself to regain 15 health. He moves out of the burning tent, provoking some AoOs. Fire Cleric misses, but Gladiatrix deals 7 damage.

    Human Rabble misses Ptekme.
    Human Rabble misses Bontar.
    Killers Gladiatrix cuts through the tent to escape the fire. She makes an offhand dagger attack at Jiro, but misses.
    Magma Cleric flees into the next encounter map.
    Psi Warrior casts Eldritch Blast, missing Qoheleth.
