    The kobold next to Gagan uses their light and nimble body to get back up and slash at Gagan in one motion, but he's able to evade the attack.

    The one in the ram-horn mask spots an opportunity to strike back. He walks up to the room's northern wall, then unleashes a blast of flames from his mouth aimed at the people near the northern door. Brina manages to dodge, but Drang gets burnt. Then, he swiftly recites a vile sounding prayer, invigorating the remaining kobolds.

    Irontooth lets out an inhumanoid scream as blood drips from the wounds Sarathi and Johuan made. He unleashes a flurry of mad attacks, seemingly forgetting about the concept of counterattacks as he does. Both of his axes are stained with the blood of the people flanking him. After yelling something unintelligible, he hits Johuan with an especially fierce blow, knocking him unconscious. Sheer rage makes his wounds seem to shrink.

    Shuddering at the sight of Irontooth's assault, the kobolds flanking Melhved appear relieved to be stuck in place. One lands an attack with a spear while the other whiffs a shortsword slash.

    Melhved Brombriar

    Swelling with Mother's Love, the goliath swings her sword in a wide arc around her, releasing a ring of cold that chills those around her. One dragonling nearly falls in a faint but is frozen in place, as is the other. Melhved takes the residual energy and fills herself with Mother's healing touch. Feeling better, she turns her focus to the rooted dragonling to the south. Keeping out of his sword range she moves closer, waiting for an opening.

    Seeing Johuan hit the floor, leads to a bout of Brina panic-vomiting. Only her neck bulges out and she spits out a green gooey sphere, landing right next to Irontooth, exploding into a giant toad whipping its tongue at the chieftain. She sprints down next to Gagan, shifts into a wolf, and vomits forth a swarm of very irate bees at the two kobolds in front of her.

    Drang moves into the middle of the fray, possibly provoking from K1, to be within three squares of all party-members, then uses his Daily power - Beacon of Hope. Everyone in the party gets 5hp (not temps.) He then uses his minor action to encourage Johuan to rise again, like a mighty phoenix.

    Apparently I am the player who is supposed to take absent people's actions. I'll try to create an alert for three days after the last GM post.

    I see no one with Oath of Enmity on them, so I am assuming no one has Oath of Enmity on them. I am also going off of what is thus far unchecked on Johuan's sheet to see what powers are available, and the last time I saw mention of using an AP is a crossed out section where the AP did not end up getting used.

    As the life leaves Irontooth's body, he yells "Kalarel and Lord Ocrus, prepare my way!"

    The two kobolds Melhved froze in place move to block incoming attacks, feeling doubtful they can land attacks safely while stuck in place.

    After seeing this, the kobold in the bone mask glares at the three kobolds still alive, then throws an orb of fire at Drang, singing him. Spurned onwards by the harsh look, the dragonshield next to Gagan tries to slash him, only to cut at empty air.

    Seeing Irontooth go down further encourages Brina to keep spewing angry bees at the kobolds in front of her, while the toad, blinking and croaking once as it watches Irontooth get cut apart, turns around and lashes out with its tongue at one of the creatures. The impact is resounding, and it drags the little thing closer, through the ever-thickening (and awfully partial towards harassing only kobolds) swarm of bees.

    Seeing the fire thrower as the biggest threat, Melhved chooses to see to that dragonling next. "First, we must clear the tares before reaping the wheat." Pointing her blade at the nearest dragonling, she extends vines of Mother's power to grasp and pull the trouble to the ground before her. Although the target struggles and slashes, the vines encircle, bind, and pull the kobold to the ground where he writhes only momentarily. Charging forward, blade still shimmering, wild winter hair streaming behind her, Melhved confronts the fire thrower, ready to stop further nonsense.

    Aware of just how outnumbered he's become, the dragonshield breaks into a running retreat. The kobold wearing the bone mask doesn't notice, too wrapped up their desire to kill at any cost. They pull a spear from beneath their armor and manage to hit Sarathi with it, but aren't strong enough to make it deal major damage.

    Seeing the shielded dragonling flee from battle in such a cowardly way, Melhved tries to keep the skulled one from doing the same. She positions herself to help draw the attention from Sarathi and help the gnoll set-up strategically. Her winter form still resplendent, she fills herself with Mother's energy and swing at her foe. A solid hit rings against her foe as she smiles and readies another attack should the opportunity present itself.

    Wolf-Brina very unwolflike arfs in response to Gagan after having coughed up the last few bees that are now buzzing out of the cave again (and disintegrating on the way). She does become aware of the shaman-'bold again. Aaand as soon as she does, it is already carved up and roasted. The wolf stares dumbstruck for a moment, before remembering a runner. Feeling like she has to make up for her previous alpaca-face-plant, she darts through the waterfall, changes back into elven form, and spews forth a barrage of thorns (throat really getting raw at this point, and stomach rumbly).

    The toad croaks reverberatingly as it starts to munch on fallen kobolds, spitting equipment back out.

The toad croaks once and suddenly explodes. Finally, she pads over to the chest, trying to improvise a lockpick and tensioner from a bit of bone.

    On top of their weapondry and armor, the kobolds had 12 gp and 48 sp (2 gp and 8 sp per person) between them.

    Brina nearly manages to pick the lock, but the improvised lockpick breaks when she's almost done. After making another improvised lockpick, she succeeds. Inside the chest, you find 420 gp (70 per person) and a suit of enchanted dwarven chain mail.

    The contents of the chest are clearly meant to be accessible to those who've beaten the encounter here, so I'm just going to skip the process of figuring out the key on Irontooth unlocks the chest or finding out there are no traps connected to the chest so nothing's stopping you from retrying until you succeed to keep the game moving.

    The dwarven chain mail gives its wearer +1 bonus to AC, a +1 bonus to endurance checks, and a daily power that lets the user regain hit points as if they used a healing surge as a free action.
