    Before Gagan can free up a hand to help Johuan, Brina is already there, lifting him out slickly with nary a rat bite to show for his brief ordeal. Gagan gestures left from the melee ahead and says, "One went that way! See if you can cut him off!" Johuan quietly nods and rushes down the eastern hallway. Seeing the curtain unmoving, he bursts through, right into the face of a goblin. The elf gets a cold smile on his face, focusing his deity's enmity on the hapless foe. Gagan doesn't waste time either. He moves ahead with a battle-roar and sends spears of fire at the two visible enemies.

    Johuan double-moves to just north of W2 (it looks like the curtain precludes charging by blocking LoS/LoE) and then uses Oath of Enmity.

    Gagan moves south a bit, uses dragonfear on S1 and S2, then uses elemental escalation to send an elemental bolt at each. They both have cover against the bolts.

    Dragonfear on S1: (d20+8)[21] vs Will
    Dragonfear on S2: (d20+8)[26] vs Will
    Hits impose CA and penalize attacks by -2 EONT.

    Elemental bolt on S1: (d20+8)[14] (+2 if CA) vs Reflex+2 for (d12)[11] plus (d10)[10] plus (d6+8)[12] fire
    Elemental bolt on S2: (d20+8)[22] (+2 if CA) vs Reflex+2 for (d12)[9] plus (d10)[2] plus (d6+8)[13] fire
    If one gets hit and not felled, add hellfire heart for 5 more damage.


    One goblin's fear causes it to duck further behind the wall, sparing it the blast. The other is scorched to a crisp.

    The rats try to climb towards Brina, but their greedy movements keep them within the pit.

    The sharpshooter in the southern room seems aware that he's in over his head, but unwilling to act on that knowledge. With a look of grim determination on his face, he puts up a guard meant to allow him to switch from crossbow to shortsword cleanly.

    Meanwhile, the goblin next to Johuan carefully makes his way towards the curtain. Seeing him next to it makes the fact that he could easily duck under it clear.

    Standard: Ready an action. Trigger: Another creature becomes adjacent to them (even a goblin).

    In the face of his new target's obvious willingness to flee, Johuan shouts, "Don't you dare run!" and tries to cut off (and just cut) the little creature. Meanwhile Brina and Gagan hurl nastiness at the mass of rats trying to climb out of the pit -- hungry roots and hungry tongues of flame. When they hear Johuan's yell, they turn almost as one and start down the corridor he had traveled.

    The sharpshooter facing down Melvhed, Sarathi, and Drang begins looking for an escape, but doesn't find one. Instead, he makes one by pushing Drang eastwards despite his side disadvantage. He carefully backs into the hallway, glad to air instead of stone behind him.

    The warrior facing down Johuan tries to slip under the curtain with intent to throw a javelin at anybody on the other side, but isn't quite fast enough to make the maneuver risk-free.

    Attack roll found on the rolls thread. Beat defense by 3 points, so push and follow shift 2 spaces east.
    Move: Shift 1 space north.

    W2's turn
    Move: Shift one space northeast.
    Minor: Pull a Javelin off his back.
    Standard: Make a mobile ranged attack.
    First, walk 3 spaces north. (This lets Johuan make an opportunity attack.)
    Then, throw a javelin at Gagan.
    Attack roll:(1d20+6)[7] (base) vs AC. Miss.
    Hit: (2d6+2)[11] damage.

    The players will take their turns, then any remaining goblins will take their turns.

    No need for Brina to reposition. Just aiming a thorn spray at the goblin; Johuan will Channel divine guidance to let her roll twice: (d20+6)[8] or (d20+6)[14] to hit Fortitude. A hit penalizes all defenses by 5 and deals (d6+4)[5] damage.

    Move forward down the corridor to block the way beside Brina, then ignition, (d20+8)[9] against Fortitude, dealing (d10+8)[14] damage. IIRC I haven't triggered hellfire heart yet this encounter, so add 5 more fire damage if it's necessary.


    ... Not hardy enough to survive THAT, though. The goblin falls, peppered with a spew of sharp thorns and then cut to the heart by Johuan's massive blade.

    Between them, the goblins had 43 gp and 51 sp (7 gp and 8 sp per person, with 1 gp and 3 sp left over).
