The humanoid in the tree kills one of the small monstrous spiders as it jumps for him but is bitten several times by the other spiders.

The man below calls out in a language you don't understand, and the summoned(?) humanoid swings back down the tree a bit, trying to keep them at a distance and seemingly ready to attack any that come near him.

Ssrask hissed and whipped his tail in annoyance at over half of his prey being taken from him. He held his position, letting the aura finish off the last spider while waiting to see what the man does.

The last spider attacking you freezes and dies, as do three of the tiny spiders attacking the other individual, as they are just within range of your aura.

A moment while I coordinate this between player threads.

The individual in the tree kills the last small monstrous spider.

The final tiny monstrous spider continues attacking him, but a thrown rock from below pegs the spider directly in the face, killing it instantly.

When you look down, the man has a look of complete and total shock on his face, as if he had absolutely no expectation of hitting the spider at all.

The man motions for his summons, you're pretty sure it's a summons of some sort at this point, to drop from the tree and join him. They then head deeper into the woods.

I can't believe someone would just run up on me like that. Rude! Ssrask hissed again and shook his head. After a brief pause, he spread his wings, and jumped from his branch to one deeper into the spider territory. He would continue to advance until meeting more threats, pausing on each landing in a defensive stance to see if the local arachnids reacted.

Ssrask tilts his head to the side slightly as the program seems to glitch or change. He wondered how much influence the actual personalities or souls of people pulled into the game affected it's program.

The man clearly doesn't understand you. He grimaces and gives an exaggerated shrug. Then he slams his fist onto his open palm from above and holds up one finger for you to wait...

Unfortunate. Ssrask was hoping that his increased intelligence would help him understand another language, or the group function would act as a translator. He vaguely understood the man's desire for him to wait, so he perched on a limb until he seemed ready to continue on.

The man works his jaw a bit awkwardly as he says, "I'll have to disagree with you on that. I've never heard of 'Ssralish' as a language before."

He shrugs. "Like my message said, the name's Iriander. Ready to kill some spiders? I've got a quest for it, too: the spiders are rapidly expanding their territory, I'm supposed to kill a whole bunch of them and find out why they're expanding so rapidly."
