She looks at the experience in disgust. This isn't as dangerous, but it's also not nearly as rewarding as the dungeon.

"Stupid lizards.

Leta looks for more enemies to fight, heading deeper into the woods more or less towards the ruins she spotted.

You soon come across a squat mammal with gray fur and black and white stripes on its face. It's nearly the same size you are.

And that's a badger. Not a dire honey badger, or it'd be larger than Leta. Still, that's dangerous stuff there...

Whatever, you only live twice and all that.

Seeing what she assumes looks like an ordinary badger, Leta throws her rock! Only then does she realize that this might be a mistake...

Leta continues looking for mobs to grind XP as she moves towards the ruins. However, things are getting more dangerous, so she takes things slower and more carefully.

Your stealth pays off, as you manage to approach a wolf that seems to be just standing there without it noticing you.

Suspicious, Leta watches the wolf for a few minutes while looking around.

Take 10/20 on Spot if possible. Otherwise Spot - (1d20-1)[6]...

You don't spot anything unusual.

Other than the wolf swaying slightly, it does not move.

[Jeriah]

Concerned for her safety, Leta debates leaving.

Instead, she throws her rock.

Your rock pings off the side of the wolf, dealing minimum damage.

The wolf turns to face you, and you realize with horror that the flesh of the wolf has rotted to nothing, leaving only a loose skin hanging from yellowed bone.

The skeletal wolf attacks!

"Damned wolf! Cursed bones! I hate fighting the undead!"

Leta's Mantle of Flame burns the wolf for (2d6)[9] damage.

She then swings her femur club with all the force she can muster.

Against the odds, you have dealt exactly enough damage to destroy the skeleton. It collapses into dust.

That gives Leta 1,000+ experience. She immediately opens her character sheet and tries to activate the level up process.

You activate Character Advancement, and your vision goes black. You find yourself floating in the same featureless, dark void that you have experienced twice before.

But then it's probably just the standardized prompt. Easier to program in an error message than create a dynamic prompt, she supposed.

Leta has no idea what a tertiary class is, but she's been just going for it with all her other decisions today. So, she jabs that button.

Leta immediately hits herself with charnel touch until she's at full health.

She then stealths her way back towards the dungeon hoping that the lizards have left.

You have no encounters on the way back until you near the valley where you encounter (1d4+1)[2] rabbits.
