Shugenja
By attuning himself to primal nature spirits and focusing their power through himself, a shugenja can cast potent divine magic.

Totemist
By shaping and binding primal soul essence, a totemist can recreate the abilities of pwoerful magical beasts.

Wilder
Your strength of personality and somewhat unstable emotions unlock raw psionic potential which you can harness to great effect.

While he mulls over his options, Jerry pokes around the option boxes, hoping for maybe an Easter egg or some sort of boon like during the initial chargen.

Jerry snaps his fingers in disappointment. "Ah, well."

Looking over the choices once more, he sighs. As much as going bard again would be nice (not to mention give him some much-needed skill points), another part of him shakes its head at it. He definitely won't go for any of the martial classes, not with his 9 Strength. Psionics...eh. Incarnum is awesome, but again, it'd skew more towards martial, and his Constitution doesn't lend itself to having many Soulmelds active.

So, with a nod, he mentally presses the Druid selection. More companions!

Beast master druids train a powerful animal companion as a friend and ally and to fight with them in battle.

Form Shifters
The form shifter tradition focuses on shape changing magic to take on the forms of animals and beasts.

Shamans
Druids who follow a shamanistic tradition have great spellcasting potential. They have nearly unlimited access to the divine magic of nature.

Woodlings
Woodling druids are part of a reclusive sect that focuses heavily on flora rather than fauna, granting them the many traits of the plant life they venerate. You have unlocked this secret tradition.

Jerry muses on his options for a bit before settling on Augment Summoning. There's another one he was eying to help with knowledge checks, but the +4 to his summons' Strength is too good to pass up.

Thinking through his options, Jerry chooses for 0th level spells: Create Water, Know Direction, Purify Food and Drink, Mending, Read Magic, and Guidance. For 1st level spells, he chooses the staple Entangle, Goodberry, Enrage Animal, and Wall of Smoke. For spells prepared, he chooses: Create Water, Purify Food and Drink, and Mending; and Goodberry.

"Now, for skill points..."

Jerry puts 4 points into Survival, 1 point into Knowledge (Nature), 1 point into Craft (Tailoring), and 2 points into Diplomacy.

I've updated Berserker's part of the sheet. I checked, and Eidolons do get Craft as a class skill, if you could please rearrange his skills list so it's not listed as cross-class. I don't want to try typing it in myself to avoid breaking any code, but I'd like to add it in as Craft (Weaponry)

I intentionally moved Craft to CC. Crafting is something that a summoned creature isn't going to be proficient in. Using a skilled eidolon to craft for you while you sleep and such isn't something I want to allow with full skill ranks in Craft.

Jerry checks to see if he has the option to summon his animal companion while in this area. If not, he presses the appropriate button to indicate he is finished with character advancement at this time.

An animal companion is acquired, not summoned. Since you've already begun play, you are unable to acquire an animal companion at this time and will need to befriend an animal in play to make it your companion.

"All done?"

You return to yourself to find that almost nothing has changed. Your former party members have taken maybe one step further than they had before you began the process. It's extremely disorienting for a moment, but despite how long that felt, time in the world around you doesn't seem to have progressed more than a long blink.

Jerry actually shakes himself at the sheer disorientation of what had just happened. He had taken his time; at least a few minutes must have passed. And yet Lilac and Shanna are barely any further away? What?

"Ah, yeah," he says in Sylvan. "I have so many questions. How did you know about leveling up? Are you a player? Does the Mother have anything in particular for me to do? Oh, ah, sorry; I'm Iriander, by the way. A pleasure to meet you." He holds a hand out tentatively, unsure if the elven cultural norms are similar enough to his own for handshakes.

She slightly shakes her head in mild disbelief.

"Everyone knows how to level up...

Player? No, I don't often have time to engage with children."

She glances down at your hand with a faint sneer that disappears almost before you can see it.

"The Mother has informed me that you were only level one, which is frankly disgusting for a man of your age to be so lazy and unambitious. She has tasked me with guiding you along the first few steps on your path."

You stares at you uncomfortably for a long second. Her outline suddenly glows a bright white which remains visible for a few seconds.

"Summoner and Druid. That is an... interesting path you're walking. I am to instruct you in the ways of the Druid. Tell me, what Druidic Tradition have you selected?"

"Okay, so leveling up is a thing everyone does here?" Jerry thinks to himself.

Since turnabout is fair play, Jerry stares at her for an uncomfortable amount of time to Inspect her as well.

At learning she will be a teacher of sorts to him, he gives a half-bow. Might as well be respectful if she's his teacher. "I appreciate your guidance. I chose the Beast Master Tradition."

You get the feeling that your level and/or ability level and/or relevant skill check is too low to overcome her resistance to being Inspected.

"It's rude to Inspect someone without permission," she retorts with a glare. She sighs, shakes her head, and continues.

"Beast Master. You must make a choice."

She closes her eyes, turns slowly as if listening for something, and then points into the woods.

"Travel that direction until the choice becomes apparent to you."

"But it was okay for you to Inspect me without my permission? Or is it okay because you're my teacher?" Jerry seems more curious than indignant. He really is simply confused as to why it was okay for her to do it but not him.

Jerry turns to the direction she had pointed, moving a little closer to it as he inspects it.

New Quest Obtained The Beast Master's Choice
You have been instructed to travel into the woods in the given direction until you encounter the "choice" you are to make but have been given no additional information. This is a timed quest.

"Hooray for feet being put into mouths," Jerry thinks with a sigh. Then he raises his head and straightens his shoulders, then makes his way into the woods. He mentally instructs Berserker to follow, but tells him to stop if the elf woman or somehow the Mother indicates Berserker can't come. On the way, he looks for any bushes that may have berries that he could cast Goodberry on.

Does it being a timed quest keep me from Taking 10?

You know that elven culture is highly varied based on what subraces of elves you're discussing. The fact that you're a different type of elf than your class trainer(?) and are still being treated with a modicum of respect, albeit clearly begrudging respect, is unusual. While you recall that a player wouldn't normally be attacked by NPCs of other races in what appears to be some sort of town setting, you know that many quests were race locked.

You recall little to nothing about the local elf tribe, beyond the fact that they are wood elves who claim spiritual ties to the forest.

As far as you can tell, there's nothing special in that direction. It seems to be just another section of forest; however, you're aware that this section is likely to have tougher monsters. On the other hand, this close to some sort of settlement, the monsters are probably suppressed in level. At least, that would be true in the game, and you suspect it's true here as well.

Looking around for Berserker, you notice that he's nowhere to be seen. Feeling for your link, you recognize that he's been dismissed, likely as a result of making adjustments to him during the Character Advancement process.

"You won't need your summons, nor do you have time to waste on it. Go."

Jerry holds up his hands. "My apologies. Going."

He pushes his way through the undergrowth surrounding the clearing and forges on in the direction she had pointed.
