I've found that the Hiveswap Extended Zodiac is surprisingly accurate.

I took it in character as Senko--my primary character in the Naruto Roleplay. I don't have a set birthday for her so I chose a starting sign at random and still got one dead on the money in all three categories.

Don't those tests work by being vague and accurate to as many people as possible? Like I remember the last specific prediction I got, 'you are desirable romantically and will buy a LEGO ISS in the near future', shame it was only half right.

You know how they assign specific personality traits to different zodiac Signs?

(Note: I am the only person I know IRL whose sign accurately describes them, and I'm pretty sure that's in part becuase a lot of the traits assigned to cancers are common to people on the spectrum.)

It basically starts are there, but then assigns differing traits to the Derse and Prospit categories that Andrew Hussey used in Homestuck, and twelve more sets of traits set to the Aspect categories from the same to give a more accurate idea.

For real people it's still too general but it is a bit more specific and is a good thing to use as a frame of reference for a fictional character.

It doesn't really make a prediction.

    Oh you'd be surprised.

In a more actual sense; just because I've made them doesn't mean I know what all their answers are straight away. I need to think about it, and sometimes the answer that springs up is surprising because "huh, I didn't think that about you before". I've literally had a character suddenly jump out at me and go "surprise I was trans the whole time" and it made everything click in a way that I hadn't expected.

Surprising. It’s almost like star signs are bunk. Imagine that.

Everybody who believes in astrology believes their star sign accurately describe them. Generic descriptions + confirmation bias is a very old trick, as any fortune teller could tell you. Not that they will, though, at least not in public.

Your point? I admitted that they were pretty much garbage what with the "I'm the only real person I know whose sign matches up... And that's becuase the traits ascribed to those signs are also common among people with Asperger's syndrome" thing.

But we're talking about fictional characters and things like astrological signs and the like can be a valid way of fleshing out the characters, so there's really no reason to be a jerk about it...

Especially when you're talking about a test that flat out tells you that if you don't like your actual sign to ignore it and pick the one that you think fits you best as literally the first thing you do, then gets incredibly specific with further questions.

No one's saying you will mess up. We all know from experience that it is harder to maintain a weight than to lose it.

Think about it: a pound of body fat takes a 3500 calorie surplus. If you eat at exactly maintenance and then you eat an extra apple, it takes 35 days for that to become a pound of body fat.

So literally tiny mistakes tend to snowball, where eating in a deficit you get the victory of seeing the pounds come off. There is also the psychological effect of obsessing over your food and exercise long term, it wears on you.

I absolutely think you can do it, I'm just warning you that the harder part is coming up.
