Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
To what extent is it weird to put popcorn-seasoning in scrambled eggs?

It depends on the seasoning. There's this sweet chili powder called Trechas that's meant for popcorn and fruit and stuff and it's good in just about everything I've put it in. Popcorn, crackers, plain potato chips, macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, butter noodles, chicken alfredo, homemade barbecue sauce.
If it's butter or cheese powder, that's good in just about anything you'd put butter or cheese in.I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
...Okay, for that it really depends on who's making the powder. Could be good, could be not... But honestly, if you like it and don't put it in anybody else's scrambled eggs without permission it's really no one's business.
But seriously though. Not popcorn seasoning but potato chips(and it's basically the same thing, flavored powder wise,) there's dill pickle-flavored chips that taste nasty and some that are "this is basically just salt and vinger dyed green."
Cucumber, viniger, dill, and garlic if it's kosher dill... None of that in and of itself seems like it would go bad with eggs, so...I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

The dill-pickle flavor was identical to that same brand's salt-and-vinegar flavor, just with dill.

Have you ever had brewer's yeast popcorn? Not bad. It might be good on eggs too.

So, I'm still having a blast playing the Donjon de Naheulbeuk game.
I was not expecting an in-game metal concert.
Spoiler: Actually the creator showed it in a video (at 1:34) before the game came out
This is awesome.
Also Daja Drownen => Tarja Turunen. Cute.Last edited by Fyraltari; 2020-10-05 at 05:33 AM.

I hate being unable to sleep at nearly three in the morning. Annoyingly also got an early start at work.
On the plus side I've got a new smartwatch arriving on my day off.

Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
Look, 'nearly three' makes as much sense as 2:47AM.
And I've counted, counting only surviving serials I've got a mere seventeen episodes left before the Doctor is retconned into a nonhuman. It's a shame, Troughton's second and third seasons are a vast improvement on William Hartnell's era, taking the site from merely good to outright amazing if occasionally misogynistic* and racist. While I'm looking forward to Pertwee I'm suspecting the UNIT years will be a disappointment after three seasons of deadly space soap.
* Although weirdly the Brigadier's moment in The Invasion is perfectly reasonable if you remove the first line ('it's dangerous let send a trained soldier instead').

Heh. It’s got less adventure but it’s nice seeing the Doctor have an extended supporting cast that’s stable from episode to episode. Benton and Yates aren’t companions but they get to have something of an arc.
Also I think one’s opinion on the Pertwee years depends a lot on one’s opinion on (Delgado’s) the Master.Forum Wisdom

Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
I'm sure it'll be great, but it'll take a few serials to get used to the change. Although I'll admit, I'd honestly expected Thirteen to revisit the Earthbound concept before her first series aired, so I'm not against the shakeup at all.
UNIT also managed to become integral enough to the old series they, desire not having seen a single Pertwee episode (in fact I think I'd only seen one UNIT serial) Torchwood annoyed child me for being a Touchwood replacement that wasn't as cool. Thankfully it got destroyed sheet one series, although I'm still more likely to ruin a UNIT game than a Torchwood game (maybe have them as the overarching villains trying to use sign technology to their benefit?).
You mean when the TARDIS renewed him?
I'm fairly certain that Two refers to himself as human on occasion. Not as much as One did, but he certainly didn't make it obvious he was an alien while on Earth despite occasionally doing so on other planets. Until the War Games we know that 1) he's from the future, 2) he was born on another planet, and 3) that he can get younger. He's still generally assumed to be human until the end of his era.

Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
I stopped Trick'r Treating when I was seven, midway through. I told my mom that I felt I was too old for it midway but the fact is it just wasn't fun anymore.
In hindsight, the fact that my "homemade pirate costume" was just a cheap hat and plastic hook worn with a striped T-shirt and the pants from my baseball uniform should have been the tip-off that I wasn't having fun with it anymore... That I half-assed it like that, but I've never been the best at processing my emotions in the moment.
That was also shortly after my father's lung cancer was deemed terminal, if I remember the course of events right... I'm not sure if that played a part or not.I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

I would still be trick or treating if there were anywhere around where I live to do so.
If I'm giving out candy, the person at the door can be whatever age, they'll still get some.

If you're going to trick or treat this year just please don't go as The Flash this year. Try an Adeptus Astartes all dressed for battle instead.

Honestly, given the choice I wouldn't leave the house without a fully functional Iron Man Armor Model 53.
It was designed to defeat an evil clone of Squirrel Girl, and also equipped to handle the entirety of the active Avenger's Roster just in case(though Tony forgot about Hawkeye's putty arrows)
I figure that would do an adequate job of keeping the virus out... Or in, if it turns out my family's all asymptomatic carriersI also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
I haven't trick-or treated for a long time either, though my most memorable trick or treat was when I went as the grim reaper, had a rubber skull mask, dark robes, a one of those toy horse sticks that I made into a scythe with a cardboard blade, because everyone is afraid of death so I thought it'd be fitting. that was probably my best one, all things considered, don't remember the age though.

Re: Sermil and the Banter of Randomness: Random Banter #228
As a kid my aunt sewed me a dragon costume once. It wasn't great but it made me happy.
I think if I was allowed to do trick or treating again I'd put too much effort into a Susie from Undertale cosplay, since as a large trans woman with ****ty hair and a love for leather that's basically the only thing I think I can BE...
