Alright, I passed the fort save. I'll attack it with Shadow Blade Technique:
    (d20+2)[14](d20+2)[10]

    (d6)[3](d6)[2]
(I'll use the 14, so the total damage is only three.)

If the sipder is not yet dead, I'll then teleport 10 ft with Dimension Hop, expending my psionic focus to make the total Manifesting Defensively check 22, more than enough to not prompt an AoO.

Then, I'll move back another 30 feet with my move action.

I'll Counter-charge. Opposed STR checks, I get +4 for being larger than it, and get the chance to shove it back 10 feet if it fails:
    (d20+4)[15]
And my Miss chance, looking for low: (d100)[77]

If all that fails, fort save: (d20+2)[11]

How hurt is the spider looking?

No. Counter charge doesn't work that way. Your attack is what's moving the enemy. You can't attack while attacking, just like you don't get to make AoOs against a target when bull rushing that target.

    Str - (1d20-2)[10]

You slam into the spider, and it literally explodes into a spray of blue hemolymph, chitin fragments, and legs. Most of it sprays away from you, but a good bit of it sticks to you.

Alright. Does the fight end, or is something still hostile?

Spoiler: Regarding counter charge and AoOs
    Show
The way I see it, Bull rush feels the need to specify that "The two of you do not provoke attacks of opportunity from each other, however." However, Counter Charge has no such wording. Thus, I interpreted there being no specific (A note that this movement does not allow AoOs from the person performing the counter charge) to trump the general (Movement within threatened areas triggers AoOs regardless of what causes the movement). However, if you feel that the note within Bull rush is merely an explanation of a general rule not noted in Counter Charge (Forced movement does not trigger AoOs by the person forcing the movement) and not a specific rule associated with Bull Rush, I will accept that ruling.

Unless you have a feat/ability like Spring Attack, Flyby Attack, etc. that provides special benefits, you cannot interrupt your own action to take a different action and then still complete the original action. Your first action fully resolves before you can do any other action.

In this case, you can't interrupt your counter charge to make an AoO. The maneuver completes, movement has completed, and the enemy is 10 feet away from where it started. Only then are you able to make AoOs if the enemy in some way provokes, which it's not doing since it's no longer moving and presumably has no remaining actions due to using a full-round action to charge.

    That was... disappointingly unrewarding.

I'll try to make my way along the edge of the forest. If I see a monstrous spider or other enemy I'll stop, but otherwise I'm looking to see if the forest leads into a new grasslands area at some point. I really want to find a new rabbit dungeon.

Assuming complete rest, it will take 2 hours per point of Str damage + the 1 hour it took to find the spider. Subtract that from however long was left of your buff previously.

Progress is at 2 of 5 destroyed.

You leave your cave, follow the stream to the forest, and contemplate which direction to go. In every direction outside of the valley is this same, familiar forest.

The stream flowing out of the valley turns to the left, following the contours of the land. A game trail that has flattened out some of the plants is clearly visible following the water in this direction. This is the direction in which you encountered the swamp, the spiders, and eventually the grow with the elf woman who could speak with you.

To your right, an even larger game trail seems to have been formed through the tall grasses that grow in the sporadic clearings between the trees, though it seems to disappear and reappear almost at random, which is typical of trails created by wild animals. The forest seems to thin out in this direction.

Directly ahead of you, the forest grows thickest and has no visible trails, though you spot signs that at least two larger creatures have pushed through this way recently.

Like most game trails, the path seemingly vanishes and reappears at random, making it difficult to follow it. Please roll six Survival checks to determine how well you follow this path.

Alternatively, you can just choose to wander semi-randomly in a chosen direction.

You manage to easily follow the trail. Unfortunately, you don't manage to notice the snares setup along the way until you've stepped in one.

The snare, thankfully, is too small to really do more than entangle you a bit, but a clanging noise indicating the trap has been sprung sends your adrenaline racing.

The snare has you entangled and has your movement limited until you make a successful check to remove it before you can move more than a couple of feet.

While you're still trying to untangle yourself and get into hiding, a person emerges from the woods with bow nocked, drawn, and aimed directly at you. The person is heavily garbed in greens and browns.

They speak a few words in a lyrical tongue you recognize as being the same as that possessed by those two elf-like individuals you encountered near the giant oak tree.

The person seems to waiting for a response...
