Yeah. At least they don't seem to intend letting me starve to death here, so presumably they'll take me out to face trial soonish.

[Rizban]

While thinking about food, your buff expires, and you lose you only reliable means to tell time in the darkness...

[Evoker]

Annoying. I wonder if there's any other buff or debuff I could apply to myself repeatedly in order to track time... I could repeatedly dismiss and regain my psionic focus, taking 20 each time, to count out 2 minute intervals, but that'd be a lot of work, just to count out an hour. I wonder if there's any other tool I can use to track time... if I could just see my HP, I could deal myself some non-lethal damage, in order to track hours, but that's a no-go.

Sitting motionless in the dark for an extended period, you eventually fall asleep.

You are rudely awakened by being jerked to your feet and a bag rammed over your head.

"Sh. Don't make a sound."

[Evoker]

(Am I meant to understand by the voice-color that this is the same voice as the man who arrested me in the first place?)

I'll let out a muffled noise of surprise, but quickly try to stay quiet, as I'm clearly in a precarious position.

[Rizban]

You don't recognize the voice well enough to know if it's the same guard or not. You're not familiar enough with his voice, he's nearly whispering, and your hearing is somewhat muffled by the sack over your head.

[Evoker]

Alright, I'll just follow along then. (Sorry, I don't know how I missed this.)

[Rizban]

You're half dragged along for 10 to 15 minutes before your shackles are struck loose and you are pushed roughly to the ground, mildly scraping your knees in the process. The sack remains over your head.

[Evoker]

I'll make a quiet grunting noise, trying to ascertain if it's safe for me to speak once more.

[Rizban]

You hear no response.

[Evoker]

I'll start to slowly raise my hands to my face, to remove the sack, but I'll be ready to freeze if I hear anything.

[Rizban]

Your hands reach the sack over your face without interruption...

[Evoker]

Alright then, I'll pull it off and look around.

[Rizban]

You find yourself in a part of the forest you haven't seen before. You're sprawled in the middle of a well-maintained path.

You do not see anyone around you.

[Evoker]

Why on earth...

I'll get off the path and into cover, because I hardly want to be caught again. I'll try to open my character sheet to see if the game will allow me to do so now, or if I'm still technically "lawfully imprisoned."

[Rizban]

You are easily able to open your sheet. You notice that you have a new status on your sheet though: Fugitive.

Thanks. Sorry I haven't posted, I've been kinda busy.

Well... I guess I should leave the forest, if those Elves have claimed it all...

I'll start heading in a semi-random direction, hiding as best I can along the way, until I reach the edge of the forest or something else of note.

You wander off the path, heading in a more or less westerly direction, assuming the sun still sets in the west...

It seems that the sun will be setting soon, and you've completely lost track of the path.

[Evoker]

Alright. Assuming I'm getting hungry, I'll gather some edible plants for a simple uncooked meal, then pile up some fallen leaves for a rough bed, before trying to get to sleep.

You spend the last two or three hours of failing light seeking food and shelter. You manage to find some berries that look edible, though you aren't completely sure they're not toxic... You're mostly confident that they're safe, but... well, there's one certain way to find out.

You start to pile up a bunch of fallen leaves but find that the bottom of the topmost leaves are disturbingly moist, and the layers underneath are downright soggy. You'd hazard a guess that it must have rained the day you spent underground, leaving the groundcover quite sodden.

Ah well... hopefully my scales will keep off the damp.

I'll eat at a moderate pace, then curl up and try to get to sleep as I wait for morning to come.

[Rizban]

You sleep through most of the night but are awakened by a burning pain in your legs and tail. Bolting upright, you find a veritable swarm of bright red ants biting and stinging you.

They aren't doing any hit point damage... so far... but the pain is intense, and you find yourself needing to make a Fort save against poison.

[Evoker]

"Agh! Damnit!"

You take [1] Dexterity damage and begin cursing aloud...

[Evoker]

"Gah!"

I'll try to shake any ants currently on me off, and run away.

[Rizban]

Merely shaking as you run dislodges some of them, but many have a firm grip on you with their mandibles as they continue to sting you.

Make another Fort save. DC13 or take [1] Dex damage.

[Evoker]

"Ow! ****, get OFF!"

I'll try to brush them off, while continuing to run.

[Rizban]

You not only succeed in resisting the next bout of poisoning, but your system seems to shake off the ant venom entirely.

You also manage to brush the remaining ants from yourself but wind up with a few painful welts on your hands as a result.

You walk a bit further to distance yourself from the remaining ants and slow to a shamble as your swollen feet make continuing somewhat difficult.

[Evoker]

"Alright... sleeping in the open is a bad idea... ow... I should keep going, though, no telling who might have heard that..."

I'll break off a tree limb for a bit of a walking stick, so that I don't have to put so much pressure on my swollen feet.
