    You also have access to the Extra Adaptation feat, though you don't qualify for it at the moment.

    Extra Adaptation
    Prerequisite: Saurian Lizardfolk, Con 13
    Benefit: You gain 1 Adaptation Point.
    Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Each time you do, you gain a number of Adaptation Points equal to the number of times you've taken this feat.
    You may take this feat a number of times equal to your unmodified Con bonus. Only your natural Con score and improvements from gaining levels or Adaptations counts towards this total, not any bonuses from items, spells, or other effects.

    Alright. Shame I don't have more Con. Let's go with Light Armor Proficiency and Improved Initiative, those should improve my survivability somewhat. Come to think of it, it's odd that I didn't get told what my Flexible adaptation does. I got a description for the other three.

    You finalize your feat selection, and the ability to select skills appears.

    Adaptation in Flux: Flexible
    Your muscles and joints become more limber. Increased skills.

    You have 16 skill points to spend. Your class skills are Balance, Climb, Craft, Escape Artist, Jump, Profession, Survival, Swim, and Tumble.

    You note that some skills already have ranks in them. These ranks do not count against your skill points.

    Huh. There's no way to select a specification for my craft skill. I wonder if that's a bug, or if they just lumped all the crafting under a single skill without the need for specialization. I'll leave it as is and see if I get an error pop-up.

    Confirm skill selection.

    Alright, I think craft: Weaponry would be a good idea. Unless there's some way I can get any broader, but I doubt the game would allow Craft: Weapons and Armor, or anything like that.

    You are in a round mud cave about 20 feet in diameter. The walls appear to be reinforced with twigs and grasses pressed into the mud.

    A small pool of crystal clear water a bit less than an inch deep and about 2 feet across sits in the middle of the cave, a faint glow the only source of light.

    An alcove in one wall has another pool of water, this one quite deep.

    Okay. Is there any obvious way out? I assume that there's not a clear path to the outside based on your comment regarding light, but is there a tunnel or something on one of the walls, or are the only features the pool and the deeper pool?

    Alright. I either have to swim my way out, or clip my way out. And there's no clear seams in the geometry, so clipping won't work. Let's check my menu, see if there's some sort of fast travel I can access

    Open Main Menu.

    (I'll then dig through the menu options I have available, searching for the [presumably] absent log-out button.)

    No log out button... I thought that was just hyperbole, or a flat out lie on the part of that employee. Guess I should have taken it more seriously. Or I might just be getting paranoid, and whatever update... world... whatever... I'm in now is just incomplete, and the menu is a bit buggy.

    You have access to the character sheet, inventory, and a quest log. There are several grayed out buttons on the menu indicating additional sections, but nothing happens when you try to interact with them.

    I'll double check my inventory and character sheet to make sure nothing new popped up, then check my quest log.

    After that: Well, I guess my only option is swimming. Good thing I put points into that on a whim.

    I'll look into the deeper pool, make sure it actually leads somewhere and isn't full of piranhas or something.

    Your inventory is bare of anything but the Starter "Robe" you currently wear. It resembles a blue hospital gown, including the color, except that it fully closes in the back.

    (1d3)[3] piranhas jump out and bite your snout.

    The pool does indeed appear to be a water filled tunnel that goes down a couple of feet and then turns sharply. You can't see past the turn.

    The tunnel turns sharply to the right, goes about 5 feet, and then turns straight up.

    As you reach the part of the tunnel pointed up, you are able to clearly see sunlight filtering down from above. You're about 10 feet deep.

    The mouth of the tunnel is in a shallow stream, no more than 2 feet in depth.

    As you emerge into the air, you discover that your cave is in the middle of a tranquil valley filled with shin high grass and a few scattered bushes. Dragonflies buzz around the water.

    Your tunnel exits right near some particularly thick grass, giving it a bit of camouflage.

    Huh. I had heard something about relaxing permadeath, but I'm not seeing anything about that. No "set a respawn point" option in the menu, at least. A mystery for another time.

    I'll examine the bushes closely. Do they have any limbs that would function as a decent club?

    How do I start crafting... I didn't see a menu for it. Maybe I need tools, or materials before it lets me use that skill.

    You feel as though you have missed something in your haste to leave your cave.

    None of the branches of the nearby bushes is even a quarter inch thick, and certainly not hefty enough to form a club.

    As your head emerges from tunnel into the air at the entrance to your cave, you spot a small obelisk about six inches tall made of what appears to be dried mud. It was obscured from view while inside the cave. You feel drawn to touch it.

    You still feel like you might be missing something, but you don't know what that might be.

    You again emerge from the tunnel and notice another lizardfolk busy picking berries from a nearby bush. He looks far more muscular than yourself, his draconic heritage clearly the dominant bloodline. He doesn't wear the blue Starter "Robe" and is quite naked, as it appears he has removed his clothing and tied it into a makeshift bag to carry the berries.

    He has not noticed your presence.
