smile Who's The Happiest Member In This Forum?

I may be happy but I'm not the happiest member to hold that title in this forum. Come on everyone. I know there's a member of this forum who always brightens up this forum and always gets along with everybody including the moderators and the administrators. So I'll ask again, who's the happiest member in this forum?
It's time to get my Magikarp on!

Not a question that is possible to answer - we have no way of knowing how happy other members are. (I am not sure if one can really even compare happiness levels except at a very rough level - if two people are "happy" how do you tell or define who is happier?)

That's true unless if they're some kind of invention to determine how happy one person can be.

The happiest person in this forum. I thought I just made it very clear.

Oh ok, just thinking that that would be hard to judge. Sorry for not picking up on that though.

Honestly, your clarification made things even less clear. You describe someone who gets along with others and brightens everyone else's day in your first post--to me, this implies someone who makes other people happy, but that doesn't necessarily reflect someone who is happy himself.

I'm sure a lot of people who genuinely feel happy also make everyone else around them happier, just by being themselves. However, there are a ton of people who get along with everyone and make everyone else happier--either because it's their job, or they feel some social pressure to act like that--regardless of what their personal mood is. In fact, some find the need to act happy, even when they don't feel it, to be confining and to--ironically--make them less happy.

Very much this. There are studies that show people often present a happier presence on social media than they actually feel.

I am a very content person. Even if I'm sad I'm still content. Being OK with things is my base mode.
Being content is something different from being happy, though. I'd argue it even prevents me from being very happy (just like it prevents me from being very unhappy).

Based on that, I imagine I fall somewhere nicely in the middle of the forum's happiness curve. Since there are currently 135,204 members, I estimate I'm the 67,602nd happiest member of the forum.

How about if we reword it to read: "In your opinion, who in this Forum 'presents themselves' as the happiest"?

For example, some members often come to the Forum to ask advice on life troubles; they do not present as happy.

Others usually make puns or are encouraging to others with health, job, or social problems? They appear to be happy (as least on screen).

For example : Smuchmuch's avatar impersonations always make me smile, and Bartmanhomer always puts out an April Fool's joke.

So who else is notable for being particularly happy on the Forum?

Please can we not turn being happy into a competition?

Just let people be happy without measuring it against other people or some hypothetical average "normal" amount of happiness. This is the kind of thing that gives people anxiety.
