Re: D&D Subclass Contest XVII Voting Thread
- Monk - Way of the Golden Bell. Like usually, I have a soft spot for martials and especially monks. That being said, it's incredibly flavorful and fitting of the monk class and contest.
- Wizard - School of the Avantguardian - This subclass is so fun. There are things to do, it's got a super fun theme, and would be a blast to RP.
- Barbarian: Path of the Shredder - Because who doesn't want to kill people with their flute or make the Axe into a literal axe.
- Keep it simple
- Five Stars

Re: D&D Subclass Contest XVII Voting Thread
1st - Crim the Cold's Paladin: The Oath of the Busker - A Bardadin. Fits the theme well, interesting abilities and not overly complex.
2nd - nickl_2000's Barbarian: Path of the Battlesinger - A proper Bardbarian. Does the "song buff" ability best of all the entries because of the simplicity.
3rd - Phhase's Bardic College: College of Defiance - Awesome theme but a bit over-tuned.
Forgot my theme vote.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest XVII Voting Thread
Hard to pick my favorites...
1st: Phhase’s Collage of Defiance. This is what I think every party really wants from their bard. Good fit for the theme. Turns up the support to 11!
2nd: RickAsWritten’s School of the Avant-guardian. Really loving the flavor on this one. Just imagining how those hidden gems were recorded in the first place. Also imagining a record-player built into the cover of a spellbook.
3rd: Edea’s Way of the Sublime Chord. Enjoyed the complexity and amount of options available here. Body as the instrument, very monk-ish take on the theme, and I like cool monk stuff.
For the next contest:
1st choice: 5 stars
2nd: Refine Mayhem

Re: D&D Subclass Contest XVII Voting Thread
1) Edea's Way of the Sublime Chord - You have crafted a marvelously intricate subclass here! Not only that, it all plays together nicely. It feeds my need for complexity. Augury is telling me we'll get along nicely .
2) nickl_2000's Path of the Battlesinger - At 10th level, you gain the explicit ability to add insult to injury. Exquisite.
3) RickAsWritten's School of the Avantguardian - "When you walk up to door, you can feel the bass, they say it's always midnight somewhere, welcome to that place..." -Underwhelming Force
Contest Picks:
1) Something Borrowed - Dibs on Wizard with metamagic
2) Reinvent Mayhem - See above. Or maybe Shadow Sorcerer.
Big thanks to KragBrightscale for giving me my first first choice vote! Feelsgoodman.Sometimes, I have strong opinions on seemingly inconsequential matters.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest XVII Voting Thread
Results are in, and boy is it all over the place!
Third Place is shared by the trio of Fnissalot's Muse Patron, Sengmeng's College of Musical Theater, and Crim the Cold's Oath of the Busker, with three votes each!
Second Place is a gnarly four-way tie between Edea's Way of the Sublime Chord, nickl_2000's Path of the Battlesinger, Krag Brightscale's Way of the Golden Bell, and my very own College of Defiance (yaaaaay!), with 6 votes each!
First Place, however, is decisively occupied by RickAsWriten's School of the Avantguardian, bringing the best 'tunes you've never heard of with 9 votes!
The Victor for the next theme is Five Stars with 8 votes!
Refine Mayhem continues into the next round with 7 votes.
Stay tuned for the next thread!Sometimes, I have strong opinions on seemingly inconsequential matters.
