Open, so far it's just us.

I'd be interested if we did more than just vanilla. Even if we just do the randomized techs and civics.

I'd really love expansions, but understand if folks don't have them.

If we do things beyond Vanilla, yeah, I'd be interested to give things a better shot. I feel I have... a marginally better grasp on things.

Turning on tech shuffle sounds great.

Set the map options to higher temperature and moisture for less tundra and desert?

Yes, using the expansions would be nice if at all possible. I've missed some of the stuff they added.

Speaking of mods, one of the mods that lets you remove/build over luxury and strategic resources would be pretty great... it's fine if nobody wants that, but I'm just saying.

Would folks be interested in rolling random leaders/nations as well? Maybe not using the actual random feature in game (I don’t know
if there’s a civilization as horrible as Venice from 5 in 6 that we really want to avoid) but assigning the civs numbers and randomly rolling for each of us?

Also should we add, a if a player eats an ai civ turn 1, restart?

Oh, that's an interesting idea. So, at the very least, you'll get something that you're vaguely fine with having? Might want to make sure duplicate civs are enabled in gamemode, though, in that case. ...which would also be funnier, methinks, if we end up rolling with 1 or more duplicates.

Roll a 1d5 for disaster intensity before game and set it to that!

I think we wanted warmer temperature, though, specifically to try and avoid tundra starts.

The only concern I have with that, is it'll increase desert.

You can do hot temperature and high rainfall. The only catch is that there will be a lot of jungle.
