    Default Time Dilation: Gramarie Mark 2

    So, I’m making a character who is making a space ship via Gramarie Mark 2. This is mostly TO. Have an engine that can go 0.85c which is approaching a x2 time dialation. Is there any magic(other than becoming a Ayuscientist) that could help mitigate this? Would Time Stop technically be able to work(assuming you possessed the ship). Is there a lower level option?

    Technically, there isn't time dilation in the rules, you could go above the speed of light if you went deep enough into TO. But let's assume you're adding specific physics concepts arbitrarily, and you want Time Dilation to be a thing.

    You need to define if time dilation is intrinsic or should be considered a "Time effect". If it's an effect, you could use Temporal Repair(DrMag #350 - Chronomancy) to nullify it in an area around you. If you Animate the ship, you can cast this spell on it and have all of it covered in one go.

    Time Stop works regardless of actual time speed, because it doesn't list a speed-up rate so you'd be drawing lines in the sand if you tried to stipulate a speed.

    When you say you want to mitigate time dilation, what are you trying to fix? Are you trying to speed up or slow down the passage of time inside the vehicle?

    Planar bubble, either as the spell or the Planar Shepherd class ability, could change the time property inside the vehicle. You could link to a plane with a much faster/slower time property, or try to wrap your head around what exactly happens to a "timeless" trait at relativistic speeds.

    If you want time to completely stop during travel, you could encase the vehicle in quintessence.

    What's the problem really? What are you trying to fix and how does being an Ayuscientist solve it? Your ship might be punched by time dilation, but stuff your crew in an YGGD space, time shouldn't affect them there. Port the asternomist from Mark 1, use warp engines that were specifically designed for what you are trying to do. Port the Chromancer (can't really remember if crhrome was added as basic metal for mark 2), and get some hastelloy.
