Looking for a change to feats. Does anyone have suggestions?

Hi, all.

I'm hoping to find any homebrewery that changes the feats to be a bit more....interactive. More niche and thematic.

For example, Polearm Master changed to increase your Reach as a Bonus Action instead of granting an extra attack, to make it lean heavily into the concept of polearms rather than being a generic power boost.

Or Crossbow Expert leaning into the Ammunition property, and the clunkiness, of Crossbows rather than removing that trait to make crossbows more generic.

So that a feat makes you much more colorful in showing off the theme of the feat.


Does anyone have anything that accomplishes this?

It’s an entire weapon/feat rework. So it’s not going to be exactly what you’re looking for, but maybe it’ll get you some ideas.

On the same vein of not quite what you asked but close, treantmonk’s reworked feats may be of interest to you. Essentially each feat is a list of options that you get to pick 3 of. Some of these options are pretty interactive. Others not so much.
