I haven't had a chance to check discord in awhile, but I asked about whether Lan was flying or not ... he would be reluctant to drop down in the middle of the enemy, exposing himself to melee attacks (and possible AOOs). Any assessment on the status of him flying? Even if the spell had worn off (which I didn't think it had) he has flight through his vest, as required.

I just need a resolution so I can subtract the right number of hit points, figure out my options, and start thinking about my next character

I had not realised he was flying as I don't think it was mentioned anywhere. If he was flying would it be aceptable to agree that he was flying low this round to avoid the comple redo and then he can tumble/fly away to his hearts content next round?

Hmmm ... well for you, sir ... I suppose that would be okay. My hit points won't like it, but in order to avoid a complete redo (and inadvertently screwing over anyone else) I'll take the hit for not being clear.

If he was hovering w/in reach, is it possible to mitigate the flanking?

Yikes that's gonna hurt.

72+8+27+25=132 damage puts Elkist at -5hp.

I can Close Wounds to stay positive but the Shield Other may well drag Elkist back into negatives.

I don’t see how he could have avoided being flanked as they dimensioned door in and 10ft tumbled in so could manuevre for a flank

Yeah, but if we agree that Lan doesn’t typically rush in to melee (outside of bullette form), hovering would mean he’s only flanked by a flying opponent.

I’ll just take the damage I guess and chalk it up to Lan being colossally oblivious and stupid.
