Team Cleric 2.0 for the win!

...now, here's to hoping that Durkon doesn't sleep with his new cleric partner...

Also, Xykon, with his evil cleric standing next to him: "Man, clerics are just the worst."

Geez, Minrah is a lot tougher than I thought she'd be. That's a lot of damage she's tanked to apparently still be standing.

Doesn't protection from fire only reduce the damage by half or does it completely negate it? EDIT: Completely negates it. Okay.

I suspect they warded themselves to reduce fall damage perhaps?

When was the last time we saw Energy Drain? When Xykon fought soul spliced V? I like how it now has a consistent look with Enervation rather than the generic caster's aura effect.

So, now Roy and OOTS would notice the current situation? I mean, a maximized fireball that turn on the light on a dim polar day tend to be a decent highlighter.

My bet now is that Team-full-spectrum-warded would run into the labyrinth. hopefully in a door with a large X marked door. not surprisingly, someone marked by MITD deception.

Love the nonchalance of throwing a maximized fireball into a gorge to test the capabilities of two dwarves. Nice looking effect too!
Also it's take cheap shots at Redcloak day, poor dude can't catch a break!

Agreed, they don't appear to have any new "damage marks." Plus, it seems Durkon was running straight for the cliff, and he and Minrah threw themselves off it with no hesitation at all. They almost have to be under a spell that protects from falling damage.

Of course, one superb dispelling from Xykon would sweep all that away.

Honestly it could also be taken as a compliment. Even an Epic Sorcerer Lich isn't happy dealing with Clerics because they're just so good at no-selling all your best tricks.

    Nice.

Gonna appreciate Durkon just casually slinging his hammer into the most powerful caster's face.

X and RC's interactions are great, as usual.

That would, of course, require Xykon to think they are worth burning Superb Dispelling on, especially when he might have to delve into the dungeons later that day or fight the whole crew later (including that 'a-lister' elf). Or, if he's already done the dungeon delving for that day, if he didn't already expend it.

I don't think there's a Protection from Street Pizza spell.

Uh, there's a huge new red mark on Minrah's hip, and Durkon's made a hash of his left cheek.

That was just specifically about getting a moment to be rid of the midgies, which has already happened.

I see an impromptu dive into Monster Hollow for Team Cleric shortly.

The Order of the Stick has now lost the element of surprise. And since the response of Team Evil to Durkon and Minrah has been disorganized and sloppy, it seems clear they were unprepared for outside attackers and would have been caught off guard pretty badly.
Though on the bright side, assuming Durkon and Minrah have escaped now, they have intel on Oona and Greyview for Roy.

My guess is that since the plan was to negotiate (and fight only as a last resort) Durkon and Minrah probably warded themselves against just about everything they could. Except for sonic damage, because no one ever protects themselves against sonic damage.

Even if the swarm followed them down, THEY weren't warded against Epic Lich Fireball.

So I wasn't sure where this was likely to end before, but now I'm thinking it's likely that Durkon and Minrah are going to wind up taking cover in one of the dungeon tunnels.
