New strip, and very convenient that Zeetha reading Ovalform leads right to Prende's lantern.
Also, Bang is tagging along. What does she intend?

Speaking of our "friend to smeerps", I haven't seen anyone bring up this old trope yet, even though it's obviously applicable here (as a joke, if nothing else): Call a Rabbit a "Smeerp" .

No - he's quite explicit - The search got a lot easier.

Still going up against Madwa, the Lantern, the Gates, Lucrezia, any other remaining Queens and The Other, (however these elements unfold in the story - not all of them are necessarly threats), and they are going in to something that the Great cetaceans (the whales the size of cities) are worried about ... But finding them looks like it got a lot easier.

Zeetha is uncomfortable in her new role as "the only person in the room who knows about something". She's not used to being the smart one in this crowd.

Into the center of the not-Bermuda-Triangle-but-may-as-well-be sail our intrepid explorers, going up against:
    1) The extremely lethal Madwa, who has Prende's lantern
    2) The more-than-extremely lethal Other, probably a.k.a. Lucrezia unless there's a big plot twist coming
    3) Whoever / whatever is causing the cursed waters, if it's not one of the previous two
    4) An internal ambush from Bang, who is going to invite herself along
    5) I'm guessing a guest appearance from Zapnoodle, who will in fact be even less sane than previously. Unless he's flipped his bits and become a good guy.
    6) The conspiracy to kill Albia, featuring Arachne and who knows what else, which is tied in with #1

My understanding is along these lines. Either the library they found them in couldn't understand them either or didn't include any translations that were actually useful, but the library included enough information about what they were that princess Mina and her advisor know basically what they are about.

The documents were in the library of a Queen. While they don't understand the documents, they could understand the Queen's Library.

Looking at old pages, I found this image of Boris berating Moloch. Girl Genius (girlgeniusonline.com) I think it's pretty great how each of his four arms is showing disapproval with a different gesture: accusatory finger, finger pointing upwards, fist on the hip, and a boink to the head.

We are currently on thread-page 45. This is not too early to start thinking of titles for the next thread, it's right on schedule.

So who has kept a list of all the suggestions so far?

And might I add: "Who's naming these things?".

I think the first title suggested for this thread was on page two, so you are 43 pages late to the party.

At the moment that seems to be me - Last time I started posting the counts around Page 48, but I generally start recording them on Page 1. Thus, noted (along with your other three suggestions).

"Apparently" and "civilizations". That is, they found the library of a long-dead queen, and from non-verbal clues (pictures, which documents were kept together, others) they were able to guess that they had information on other civilizations contemporaneous with the long-dead Queen, or even earlier.

I'm hoping M.S. posts a comprehensive list soon, we've had a number of good nominations and I'd hate for an earlier one to be overlooked. Especially if it was one of mine.

It looks like Mysteriously broken, set loose, or activated was already in honor of the clueless klutz. So, does anyone want to place bets on how many potential brides Tarvek passes on? He is currently at two (neena and the new master of Paris), but I suspect he will have quite the rejected harem before the story is done.

I think Tarvek is going to fill a similar role to Barry in the heterodyne stories and is going to pick up a "high priestess" everywhere they go.

Personally, I'm wagering we end up with a Agatha-Gil-Tarvek polyamorous trio at the end. I suspect the original plan was for Tarvek to be in Martellus' role, and eventually exit the stage through death or something equivalent. Then the Professors decided to keep him. The decision was pprobably around the time the Castle arc was getting implemented, and towards the end of that, we get Martellus introduced. He gets a fair amount of limelight, and when he's "on stage" Tarvek is typically "off-stage".

Martellus has gotten his character developed to the point where many readers will feel it when he goes, but no one is going to mourn him too much. And I'm pretty sure Der Castle has already lampshaded the Agatha marrying both Tarvek and Gil (or at least, taking them into her harem ).

And speaking of Barry and his High Priestess, I was doing a re-read and wiki dive, and it seems I'm not alone in suspecting that the renegade Loremistress Milvistle might be tied to him and his High Priestess trope in some fashion.
