Nah, I wasn't aware of the Prague defenastration and assumed it was an autocorrect thing rather than a pun.

The defenestration of Prague is the entire reason "defenestration" is a word. I didn't know that there were two if them.

Three, according to Wikipedia. 1419, 1483 and 1618 ... so Fyraltari would have been right if he'd typo'ed?

I'm honestly surprised they expected Agatha to turn up to this thing.

I mean, she likes the Jagers and she cares about the town. But didn't the very first strip of this interlude say she was away?

ETA: Yep, it was von Mekkan himself. I guess the news took a while to percolate through to the Red Cathedral....

Now I wonder, are we going to see a Prisoner of Zenda -style impersonation here? I'm not sure how much the Professora is supposed to look like Agatha.

That all depends on who you're asking. Honestly, if the impersonation is just needed to fool the masses from a distance, then I'm pretty sure the Professora will work fine when dressed up appropriately. If this is something where an interface with Der Kestle is needed though, as it was the last time Agatha was in the cathedral, then no amount of costumes or physical similarities will help.

Personally to me professora just crossed the line from curious academic looking for a good scoop on a mysterious bit of culture, to intrusive jerk. "hey there is a private ceremony ove" "OMG! MUST SNEAK IN AND SEE WHAT IT IS!!!!"

Actually, the cathedral is one of the few places in town where Der Kestle isn't present. It's a separate system of some kind. Knowing the Heterodynes, something dreadful.

Foglio's love to put details like this into the comics: book titles, mimmoths, alcohol names (like the upside down ale that was obviously held upside down) or those reminders on the stairs from Lucrezia's secret lab (one of my favorites).

Well, they did tease another Ivo story: The Gurl Who Cried Jager - although there is an outside chance this may be it.

Nah, they say they've been sitting on this one for 15 years. They basically used Ivo about the time he was created (by Cheyenne, IMS).

Hmm, there's a resemblance, is there? (Seriously, before this story started I was wondering when that would become relevant.)

So the Professor is descended from Oggie ... but as far as we know, Agatha resembles nobody so much as Lucrezia ... and next would be Euphrosynia, I guess. Not even Zola, who is apparently her cousin, looks all that much like Agatha - but I guess there are good meta-comic reasons for that.

So does that make the Professora a distant relative of the Mongfish?

She is married to a man who descends from oggie, there is no telling what if any connection to lucrezia the professora might have. Especially considering the time travel shenanigans involved. She could have given birth to a child back before albia was born, then unknowingly dated her own great great great great grandson on another time hop and reinforced the genetic link.
