Starting stats? Who needs ‘em!
Ok, so this is not a fully fleshed out idea, but I’ve made a level 20pc with this and it’s been fun to play. I’m sure it can be made better.
So the general idea is that artificers gets to infuse items that can set stats to certain levels
Belt of hill giant strength, sets str to 21
Amulet of health, sets con to 19
And the thingy of intellect, setting int to 19
So you take those infusions and then stack up on all of the feats.
My current build is a kalashtar armoured, and it’s pretty cool, lowest stat is 14dex, (I used point buy) and I have GWM, PAM, Tough, Sentinel, and war caster.
Idk, I think perhaps satyr would work better, but kalashtar worked best for flavour.
Any ideas for expanding/playing with this concept?

Re: Starting stats? Who needs ‘em!
If you manage to get the spells Darkness and Silence (multiclassing I suppose) you could become the great equalizer and shut down spellcasters.
Especially potent with Sentinel (and Blade Master if you do old UA).
This PC has low stats so they're vulnerable to saving throws/magic? Nope!

If you're a level 20 PC looking into stat replacement with magical items, why even bother with Artificer? You could just Astral Projection / Magic Jar / True Polymorph / Shapechange your way to victory.

Well, it... doesn't kick in until 14th level and uses more than half of your infusion and attunement slots...
