[IC] The Cult of Brannulv

[Izzarra]

The donkey keeps running for a few hundred feet before getting tired and stopping.

Zarron can make a DC 14 animal handling check to approach the donkey and lead it back.

[Zergrinch]

Zarron is completely winded at this point. He reaches into his backpack, pulls out a ration pack, scatters the nuts in a wide radius in front of him, and just sits down to rest.

[Gluteus_Maximus]

Taara takes some food out of her pack and holds it out for Lana.

[Xihirli]

Lana nibbled it out with her horse mouth, and started seeing if she could go down to go find Zarron while still being a horse.

[Izzarra]

After a few minutes the donkey calms down and starts munching on the snacks.

[Zergrinch]

Zarron starts talking to the donkey in a soothing and conversational tone.

"You know, horsey, that fall would've hurt you more than the fire would. Don't be such a wimpy pony!"

He starts playing a calming song, while sitting on the ground, globules of sweat still dripping off him.

[Izzarra]

The donkey stands around looking for more to eat.

[Xihirli]

After getting stuck for a second time, Lana sighed as she turned back into a genasi. She looped her arm around Taara's and walked back down the tower to find Zarron.

[Zergrinch]

Zarron stands up and waits for the donkey to get used to him being bigger. He will then attempt to gain the trust of the animal by serenading it.

[Gluteus_Maximus]

Taara watched her Lana turn back into herself, smiling. She kissed her on the cheek before allowing her to put her arm around. As they walk, she maneuvers to take her hand and interlock her fingers, holding her staff in her other hand.

[Valmark]

When Ghiso was finally done mining he walked out followed by a purple disk with the fear wall placed on it- and stared at the path of destruction.
"What... What happened!?" he exclaimed hurriedly following the path recognizing that the damaged goods seemed to be from the cart.

[Izzarra]

Taara, Lana, and Ghiso follow a trail of broken glass and assorted singed equipment to the cliff where the ice golem once stood. At the base of the cliff they find the smoldering wreckage of the cart. A hundred feet or so down the path they see Zarron serenading the donkey.

[Zergrinch]

"Oh hey, I'm trying to calm Horsey down. He got scared by the explosions," Zarron says innocently as he continues to serenade the donkey. "Got any food?"

[Xihirli]

"Hi!" Lana called down to the donkey. "What's your name!?"

[Gluteus_Maximus]

Taara walked with Lana and wondered what a donkey's name would be.

[Zergrinch]

"His name is Horsey," Zarron says as he puts away the instrument and starts massaging the donkey.

[Xihirli]

"That's a horrible name," Lana said. "How about... Hamûr?"

[Zergrinch]

Zarron bites his lip and looks a bit hurt that his name for Horsey was shot down as "horrible". He tries not to let it show, although his ears do droop a bit.

[Gluteus_Maximus]

Taara frowns a bit and pokes at Zarron's ears to try to stop them drooping. She spied his instrument. "Why did you stop? I liked your playing." she said, while petting Hamûr.

[Zergrinch]

The ears twitch and Zarron snaps his head back by reflex. Apparently he is ticklish over there. To distract himself from the uncomfortable situation, he starts playing something melancholic on his pan flute.

[Gluteus_Maximus]

Taara sits on a nearby rock and kicks with her legs as she bobs her head a little bit to the music. She sings in draconic.

"Like a cat's!" Ghiso said and scribbled some stuff in his book after that whole episode with Zarron's ear, then thought about it and modified some "More an hybrid with a dog. Taara, are your ears sensible too?" he asked, then put the book away and actually started addressing the situation salvaging everything he could and piling it up on a side to check how much had remained usable.

When he was done he addressed Lana.
"Right, do you mind letting me examine that backpack properly? I'll give it back in an hour or so" he asked.

Yeah if she accepts short rest to analyze the magical backpack.

Taara touches her ear at the tip. "I do not really touch my ears much," she admits. "And it is not easy to tickle yourself. Maybe if Lana touched my ears?"

[Xihirli]

Lana passed Ghiso the pack and gave Taara a brief tickle behind one ear. "Yeah, okay. Just don't forget to not put on any evil amulets!"

[Gluteus_Maximus]

Taara's ears fluttered when they got touched, and she blushes a little bit. "Ah" she calls out before covering her mouth.

[Valmark]

Ghiso immediately wrote stuff in his book and said "Thank you" gratefully.

[Xihirli]

Lana grabbed Taara’s hand and pulled her inside the cave they’d been resting at. ”Can I cuddle you as a wolf?” Lana asked, remembering the wolves they had negotiated with together.

[Gluteus_Maximus]

"Oh, as a wolf?" Taara exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. "U-um, that would be very cuddly."

[Xihirli]

Lana barked as her body twisted and contorted into the shape of a wolf, and she yipped a few times before lying down, her tail thwapping against Taara's leg.

Taara sat down and gently set herself on Lana's fur. "You're so warm..." she nuzzled into her and then scritched her neck. "and fuzzy!"
