    Resting his rifle on the window, Richard picks a target to aim at. This looked bad, he knew that, but he didn't fancy the outcome to surrendering to a group like this, particularly now they've already lost people, much better to the outcome of fighting. Besides, they had the defensive position here and they weren't that bad at fighting. They could manage.

    Up on the hill, the sniper focuses his weapon.

    As Tariq retreats (he’s now 18 yards from the base building), Simone continues to overwatch the second entrance into the radio room and the men in the middle of the minefield are disorientated by the explosion.
    Fearful of stepping on another land mine, the men turn back and make their way 5 yards towards where the other men are digging in, where the cars are.

    Sean feels better as the injection courses through his body...until he suddenly feels a sharp vertigo for a split-second. His skin starts turning other colours, but quickly slides back into his normal skin tone...His thoughts and body temperature are different, too. What was in that goo?!

    Richard’s shot goes slightly wide from his target.

    (OOC: Sean heals 2 HP, and gains one mutation (Adaptable Skin 1, AtE 1 page 26) and 2 side effects (Cold Blooded (50 degrees Fahrenheit) and Oblivious).)

    The 2 attackers behind the cars try to fire at Tariq and miss.
    The sniper on the hilltop shoots at Sean, despite his cover. Thanks to his newly healed body and not hauling his gear, Sean just barely manages to dodge the shot.

    Tariq is now ready to act, adrenaline pumping as the bullets fire by him...

    Still staying away from the window until he's finished reloading, Richard calls back. "Got it!" He wasn't exactly sure how to deal with the sniper yet, but he figured the people closer to them needed dealing with first.

    Simone has not changed her position, either.

    The attackers who fled from the minefield seem to be yelling to each other, arguing behind their cover.

    As Tariq’s jam-tin grenade explodes, setting off a few landmines in a chain of unholy noise and violent force, Simone concentrates on keeping watch.

    The three raiders nearest the minefield are too far away to get hit by the explosions, but they are shaken pretty hard by the display of fire and dirt. All of them keep their heads despite the loud horror, the adrenaline of the fight steeling their wills.

    Where's the sun currently relative to us and them? Are there any dark enough places from which the opponents can be attacked, like maybe the first or second floor corridor not adjacent to the window (so as to be shooting through the room while being on the other side of it from the window or the entrance)?

    Hearing Sean's warning, Richard stays behind the wall as he finishes reloading. Taking advantage of the silence in the wake of the massive explosion, Richard shouts out at the enemy raiders. "You can still walk away from this! You've already lost people, you don't need to lose more!"

    (OOC: It is midday, the sun is shining down on you all equally. The first floor rooms may have windows that are darker than the second floor window.)

    The bad guys seem very quiet all of a sudden.

    But the men who tried to reach the base through the minefield do move, they move all the way back into the cars they came in. It seems they'll try to start the cars and drive away soon...

    A question. I'm reading B390 and it seems one can take aim+wait only if he watches one hex. Would being on the other side of the window or one step back into the room really prevent the sniper's aim+wait assuming he is aiming at the same hex Sean was last seen?

    Also, how high are the windowsills? Can Sean crouch to be completely under it or would it require a different posture?
