In the absence of a call for help, Tariq will just continue his approach to the lodge.

The sound of gunfire back in Sean's direction alarms Richard - that sounded like one of their rifles. Looking back, he sees the mutants approaching Sean and swears under his breath. Looks like the strangers weren't any less hostile than the raiders. Raising his rifle, he fires a quick burst at one of the mutants that was still standing, but the distance was a little too far for him.

[Shoot Da Moon]

The heavily wounded mutants try to continue their fight, but both pass out from the strain.

The remaining healthy mutant brings his shotgun up to his eye, and squints down the barrel at Sean...

Sean takes a shot at the remaining mutant, but his thoughts are more about defense at the moment.

Sean's shot connects with the mutant's chest before anyone else registers the action.
The mutant pays for its failure to twitch away with a bloody gushing, but it manages to stay conscious and upright.

Richard steps up the supporting fire, firing a longer burst that nonetheless still fails to hit anyone.

Sean hits the deck as the monster fighter fires another shotgun blast at him, the pellets almost grazing him as he feels the cold ground on his belly.

(OOC: The mutant rolled 3 hits, Sean made his Dodge and Drop by 2 to avoid them all!)

Weight of fire wasn't working, so Richard takes his time and aims this time, lining up a shot at the remaining mutant.

Tariq continues his progress towards the lodge, and keeping an eye on the cars as they approach his trap.

The mutant sees the writing on the wall and starts moving directly away from Sean. It keeps itself going despite its gunshot wound.

Sean stands up and aims his rifle at the mutant.

Tracking the mutant's movements as it retreats, Richard takes the shot. It looked good to him. Hopefully it finally put him down. Those mutants were...he didn't quite know how he wanted to put it.

[Shoot Da Moon]

The lumbering man-like thing does not see the shot coming, and Richard hits it in the back.
It drops on its face immediately and is still. The fight is over.
Sean thinks the monsters are all dead now, but can he sure?

Tariq sees the approaching cars are much closer to the land mines now. He covers his ears - the blast will light up the evening sky...

Sean takes a deep breath and checks the magazine to see how many rounds are left. There are none. Sean then checks the chamber and sees one last round chambered. He then replaces the magazine with the last one and takes a look around for any changes in the situation.

[Shoot Da Moon]

Sean notices the Bear Lodge is quiet, the lights are on, but he can't see any raiders inside or the new attackers outside...aside from the dead.

The mutants did not seem to be carrying anything other than their weapons, or wearing anything but their improvised steel armour.

Richard reloads his rifle before continuing to move towards the Lodge. If there was anyone left, it looked like they were going to need to go inside to find them.

Sean resumes the movement towards the ski lift and even a sudden *BOOM* from where it's expected is not going to stop his progress.

Tariq sees the approaching cars are much closer to the land mines now. He covers his ears - the blast will light up the evening sky...

Tariq pauses in his advance to fully appreciate this moment, taking care to continue putting cover between him and the lodge.

[Shoot Da Moon]

As Sean reaches the ski lift and Richard moves to the Bear Lodge's parking lot, Tariq sees the cars both hitting the explosives simultaneously from his hiding spot.

All three of the men hear the booms - as do most people in the area presumably - as the two cars of raiders are tore apart by the traps. Tariq sees no survivors, only a duo of flaming wrecks.

(OOC: All three of you get into your preferred positions around the Bear Lodge without further interruptions. Now what?)

Sean observes the lodge waiting a bit for any possible reaction to the explosions. If there is none, he takes a last look around and tries to sneak up close to the lodge, sling the rifle behind the back, climb the ladder onto the roof as silently as possible, then ready the rifle again.

Sean approaches the roof above the balcony and shouts towards the open balcony door: "Hey you inside! I highly recommend you talk."

Sean observes the lodge waiting a bit for any possible reaction to the explosions. If there is none, he takes a last look around and tries to sneak up close to the lodge, sling the rifle behind the back, climb the ladder onto the roof as silently as possible, then ready the rifle again.

Sean approaches the roof above the balcony and shouts towards the open balcony door: "Hey you inside! I highly recommend you talk."

The exile can not see any movement inside the lodge.
So he sneaks up, climbs onto the roof, approaches the balcony, and shouts out to the raiders within.

He hears a response;
"GET LOST OR GET DEAD!" A man's voice rings out from within the lodge. "THIS PLACE IS OURS, NOW!"

"Roger that! Feel free to notify me if and when you reconsider." Sean takes a frag grenade, takes out the pin, aims the grenade from the roof above the balcony into the door below, releases the lever and after two seconds throws the grenade into the door. Whether he hits or misses, he then quickly moves away along the roof.

Hearing the shouts and that surrender isn't going to happen yet, followed by an explosion, Richard moves in quietly, watching for anyone still on his side of the building - hopefully they're too busy focusing on Sean or in disarray from the grenade to spot him before he spots them.

Satisfied by the result of the explosion, Tariq continues to the lodge. Once there he readies a frag grenade. Hearing Sean's exchange with those inside, he'll pull the pin, wait for two seconds, and throw it through the most convenient window or door.

[Shoot Da Moon]

As Sean's toss results in a blast, Richard spots two men with guns out on the second floor, exposed when the barricades on the window were torn off by the bang. They look unharmed but alert and agitated.

Loud screams and swearing is Sean's reward for bombing the place. His grenade blew out some glass and the interior, judging by the sounds from the interior. He can't see inside, but he does hear heavy action - yelling, moving, crumbling materials...

The exile's second grenade takes out another chunk of wall and window. Tariq is not sure if he hurt anyone inside. Perhaps more bombs will remedy the situation?

Without making any excess noise, Sean walks to a smoking chimney and drops there the other grenade. He walks away right after he does that.

Presumably Richard will have taken his shot(s) by that time.

Alright, looks like he had them caught unaware of him - the others and those grenades were providing a good distraction. Richard lines up a shot at one and them and fires.

[Shoot Da Moon]

Richard smokes his target with a well-placed shot and Sean's grenade makes a right mess on the ground floor as it hits the bottom of the chimney.

Judging by the sounds, there were people down there.
Richard sees his quarry drop by the bullet tears through the man's abdomen.

Now that he's out of grenades, Sean can't do much from the roof. Still, he decides against going inside until Tariq is also out of grenades. He approaches the recently blasted chimney and stops there listening, but not exposing himself to bullets that might be fired through the chimney from below. He keeps looking around while at it.
