    Richard eliminates his target with a shot to the body. The raider drops, leaving only the snipers as the only active fighters against the exiles.

    A slaver in cover shoot a flare into the sky.

    The snipers in the trees take aim again, ominously eager.

    Bart the Hunter keeps his dogs close, now taking aim at a sniper with his previous target dead.

    (OC: range penalty to shoot the snipers is -8.)

    Not quite trusting his aim, but not willing to spend more time, Bart makes two shots at the right sniper. This mostly goes wide.

    The right sniper spoils his aim attempting to dodge the shot, but fails. He gets clipped on the side of his body.

    The other sniper continues to squint through his scope.

    One bad guy shakes off the stun grenade. He moves into cover.

    The dogs growl and bark.

    The sniper manages to squirm away from one bullet, but not the second in Richard's burst. The bad guy slumps over, too injured to keep killing.

    And then the dogs snarl sharply in one direction, howling to grab the exiles' attention.
    Bart says, "They smell someone. Hostile. They're trying to creep up on us."

    Bart scans the horizon, on alert for sneaky bad guys.

    Out of the corner of his eye, Sean notices a weird lump on the ground in the direction the dogs are barking at. He realises that someone is crawling on the ground there, covered in camouflage to match the outdoors. How long was the enemy hiding there?

    Sean gets off the warning. Richard, Tariq and Bart now knows where the enemy is. Bart will roll Animal Handling when the Dog's turn comes around.

    Upon hearing Sean's warning, Richard turns and fires a burst at where Sean indicated.

    HT doesn't mention anything about camo suits affecting attack rolls, so I think I have the modifiers right, let me know if I'm missing somethere there.

    Ammo-wise (since Sean reloading made me double-check before attacking), Richard's got 5 rounds left after the initial 5-round burst at the campfire enemies, two single shots at one of the survivors, a three-shot burst at one of the snipers and this 5-round burst.

    Tariq continues to lie as motionless as possible, while really trying to distract himself from the pain, thinking to himself, "well, at least those were some lovely explosions..."

    (OC: Yes, for the foreseeable future Tariq is going to lie there and try not to die. This will change if something threatening comes close.)

    The enemy still stunned fails to clear his head.

    Then another camouflaged bad guy reveals himself, but taking a shot at Sean, and just missing.

    Bart has his dogs move and attack the hidden enemies. They split off from the exiles, and go forth, fangs bared.
    One attacks the bad guy who just fired his gun. The dog chews on his shoulder, causing him to yelp in pain.
    The other goes the other way...and attacks another hiding bad guy! The dog bites him, too.

    As the dogs seem to calm down, Sean stops expecting more people creeping on him right now and decides he could as well deal with the last person seen before reloading for the second wave. He aims at the stunned man.

    Tariq feels the pain lessen a little. That could a good sign, or the cold, or maybe he is dying...

    The stunned enemy in the camp fails to recover in time.

    Bart shoots him, and he drops like a sack of dirt.

    (OC: Combat time is over. For now, there are still enemies alive, but not actively fighting. They are in cover. That was 10 seconds of fighting, so everyone loses FP equal to their encumbrance level due to stress and violence.)

    Sean reloads the rifle and before doing anything else, tells Bart to cover him and carefully moves to get Tariq out to safety. Specifically, he's seen Tariq stepping over something, so he examines what that is and what it triggers, then steps over it, picks up Tariq, then steps over the thing on his way back and places Tariq on the ground behind some cover (a tree or a hump) where he would be safe from the trap and can be evacuated just by dragging. Bart, meanwhile, keeps observing the scene and reloads the rounds, one by one.

    Also, about the cabin:
    1. How large it is?
    2. Which way is the door?
    3. Any windows?

    The tripwire that Tariq avoided was hooked up to a noisemaker. Sean also notices other tripwires, and camouflaged bear traps set in the edges of the camp.

    The cabin is large enough to boast four rooms, so it's basically a small house by Old World suburbs standards. The door is facing the exiles, but there are probably at least one more. The windows on the cabins seem to be closed and covered, two on the side facing the exiles.

    Richard makes his way to the clearing, using Sean's observations to avoid the traps he'd noticed, heading towards the people in cover but not fighting. He didn't like the idea of them being around and unsecured while the exiles finished their business here, particularly since he was expecting slaver reinforcements soon - one of them had gotten a flare off in the fight, so if there were any more of them outside of the camp odds were that they were on the way here.
