Think of it like smoking the meat on the barbecue. Chances are high they would die before the flames consume them entirely, as typically asphyxiation from the smoke along with burned lungs from inhaling hot ash is most often the cause of death in such situations.

They don't have Combat reflexes feat so no AoO for their weapons, but bad luck on a "1" and a "2" as the opening gambits.

Well, as for requisitioning gear, a Masterwork Bastard Sword is my character's request. Unless I am mistaken, as I did not read the price of the base weapon, it should fall under 400 gp. If there is enough spare left over, a potion of Cure Light Wounds would also be nice to have as well.
