Does the (first) Spongebob Squarepants movie have redubbed or edited audio in the UK, or do Plankton and Karen still refer to it as "plan zee" like they do here in the US?

Susan here is roughly where Id put the midpoint between a spider and a human, so I figure she wors as a decent enough baseline to work with when trying to figure out the "average cutoff point for where big buggy thingy stops being cute."

...Honestly, it'd probably work better if it was a different picture of her, since there's a Venom in the way, but this is the only picture I can find where she doesn't have a mask covering her terrifying spider-mouth.
I'm love her so much. And thank you for finding one where her bug mouth is there because I love that **** (and need to find a good way of describing what something like that looks like...)

The scientific name for those kinds of mouthparts is chelicerae, but I don't think that works when you're trying to describe it to someone who isn't already intimately aware of arthropod body parts.

Bugs can be cute and fuzzy. They can also be counted clothes destroyers.

Also host, I've probably got to talk to management next week about how I'm Earth I'm meant to get in when the buses aren't running.

Thankfully, when they're made out of fabric they don't tend to eat it. Usually. I consider that a win-win.

Bugs are cute as long as they follow Tyrant's Law of Movement: Things should only move at speeds slow enough that TVTyrant can fully track their movements and get away from them. The smaller the animal the slower it should move.

Hence beetles and butterflies are good boys/cute, while house centipedes are banished to the Bad Bug list for their rapid movement.

Considering I had holiday booked and confirmed over Christmas there's at best been a miscommunication somewhere, at worst somebody's essentially ignoring their superior. My primary hope is to get out of there before the fireworks start.

I don't actually mind working Christmas, my problems are 1) I'd need transport provided because seriously **** walking four hours on a route I don't know both ways and 2) if I'm not going to get a holiday can I have the hours back please. I go through enough problems with management thinking that people shouldn't have hobbies that require other people, I'd really like to use my
limited holiday allowance to have a holiday.

    Ahem.

I would like to chime in here, and not to split positrons and anti-protons, but

first, you have centi- right at meaning 100 or 1/100, but milli is 1000 or 1/1000. micro is 1 million.
Has any one seen my jar of anti-protons or my cyclotron of positrons?

I made a mistake because I was on the way home from a ten hour shift. I'm shocked the Playground took this long to notice.

If you want to get technical I also got it the wrong way round, centi is 1/100 and milli is 1/1000. 100 is hecto, 1000 is kilo, 1000000 is mega. Except in computing, where kilo is 210 and mega is 220. Kibibyte? Never heard of it. Or at least never heard anybody actually use it.

It's a bit silly to still teach Imperial. You guys should really switch that secondary system to American Customary Units instead.

Sorry, the UK only uses systems with a prestigious history.

Unfortunately the government still hasn't finished defining Commonwealthian so we have to use SI to plug the gap. Those histories take a long time to create, and other parts of the civil service need the TARDISes.
