We're Pstmodern Jukebox fans. Like, my entire household loves them.
I was on a Rory Gallagher kick after the holidays until my wife got into The Hu for a minute. My oldest was sharing some anime themes and symphonic Celtics with me, so I introduced her to arrangements from the 8-bit glory days such as the intro screen for Ironsword and the entirety of the Batman game soundtrack. I've been on a metal bender since I heard that Marco was leaving Nightwish, which has lead to some interesting discoveries like this one:
Which I though sounded familiar, but it was the lyrics, not the melody. I read this poem over 20 years ago, but if you had asked me I would have had zero recollection until I heard it set to music.
But last night I decided to break out my old Slacker playlist while making supper, and the first song was Soul to Squeeze. And the world seemed brighter for that moment.

Typically, "epic battle music" or similar, or some of the "rain and distant gunfire" ambiances, either WWII or WH40k.
Recently I've switched to Mozart or other classical music during working hours. I think it helps me focus a bit more.

We were talking about Graphs (the computer science concept) and I was pointing out that vertices can be adjunct to themselves.
Which means they're really beside themselves! Wocka wocka wocka!
That immediately made me think of, what else, Weird Al.
One of my prized possessions is a cassette copy of Even Worse that I got Weird Al to sign during his Mandatory Fun tour, even though I no longer have a cassette player...
